well, after the Wrexham store only having one of the customer services staff who do Double the Difference and the others only ever giving the amount you were overcharged by. I went to a different store in the area last week, got overcharged by something and didn't even have to ask at the desk, was automatically given double the difference back.
You need to insist, if they don't give it to you. It's on their customer service poster, under "If things don't add up" Just point this out to them and make sure you get it. Be firm!0 -

If you mean the extra store this is my local, they usually give me dtd straight away, only twice had to prompt them and this was on electricals so had to go to desk upstairs to sort it out.september wins - toshiba laptop, timotei shampoo & conditioner, mccains games, pimms picnic blanket.
october wins - grants tumblers, £20 petrol voucher, sega console, iphone
novembers wins - £50 on walkers rainy day, £50 itunes voucher
march wins - dog treats0 -
well here I go ranting again about the refusal of DTD at Tescos on my Leg of Lamb (HORSE) in tescos Price promise ....
So the leg of lamb is advertised on the SEL at £4 per kg, I pick one up that got £10.99 kg on it, so it was £25.01 at 2.276kg.. CS was adamant it was the wrong leg of lamb... would sell it back to me at £4 kg, but no DTD..
Ok.. so I checked the Price Promise thing, and on it the PP sees the Leg of Lamb weighing in at 6.25 kg. because 6.25kg X £4 per KG is equalled to £25.. IYSWIM..
Wat a rip off Tescos are on their own policies which they do not keep.. So why put in a policy like this and do all the advertising to lie to the public0 -

Contact cs at head office and they should send you a gift card. Unfortunately whilst head office seem to beware od the need to follow their companies policies some store staff are jobsworths and make up their own rules.0 -

However please be aware that by actively targeting the policy (which is what everyone on this very thread is doing - and me I may add!) you are invalidating their offer in their eyes.
Your only recourse once you've taken it to the CEO's office and even they refuse, is to go to Trading standards who will, In my experience, do nothing. You have now raised your profile immensely, spent lots of time doing it, and have nothing to show for it.
When I am refused DTD now, I simply move on to the next store. :AI am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

The store I used was a bit eggy about it so I called up customer services and they say that if they do it again I should ask them to call head office who will advise them. I have never done this before so its not like the shop have me down as a 'known offender'! I think some people just don't know how to deal with the public and might be better suited to other jobs!!!0 -
