Got the BT Freelance XT 3500 house phones today, SEL OOD £54 reduced from £129, DTD was taken, got paid £20 in cash to take the phone away from the store, the DTD was not offered just the £75 saving but after I mentioned the DTD there was no questions and was given it straight away. the CS staff were amazed that I received more than phone cost itself.

    Well done :D

woohoo just got paid to take my shopping out of tescos today.

they'd left their big £1 banner for express rice dolmio/uncle bens snackpots up

scanned through at 2 for £3.50 so I got myself a nice little dtd of £3 for every two I purchased

    and I got quite a few :-)

Means with the coupons I had they paid me 23p to take £87.25 worth of shopping out of the store.

    Nice :-)

There's also a 50p off voucher - so you could have made money there - 50p voucher is in their mag or here on pdf http://realfood.tesco.com/media/docs/Real_Food_FebMarch_2013.pdf

My local store stopped doing DTD a few years back as they said it had stopped. I wondered why though, how one of the assistants still does it and has given me DTD back about twice. None of the other assistants do though, I only get the money that I have been overcharged by.

    OUTRAGEOUS!
I realise it's unlikely you still have evidence of old overcharges, but BEG of you to ring freephone 0800-505555 and speak not only of this instance but as you have posted here.
Actually this one would be better as a well-written letter addressed to CEO, Philip Clarke. Ask for acknowledgment, if not full AND SATISFACTORY reply, within 5 working days. His major minion will reply at first. If it is just general flannel,' we appreciate...blah..all our customers are valuable...blah', WRITE BACK, expressing offence that your detailed, thoughtful letter was neither effectively read, nor given the courtesy of an attentive reply.
Send it RD, trackable online, adding that you expect this cost to be refunded to you, given that letter should not be necessary in the first instance. Express your concern as a prev. loyal customer etc.etc.
    Good luck.

Thanks for the information, I will be ringing up now tomorrow to let head office know. Just wait until next time I get overcharged and it isnt the assistant who gives double the difference. It used to be the same with asda if you were overcharged on an asda's own product you were entitled to a £2 gift card, but then they stopped doing it, so whenever I asked about it, they would moan as if it was coming out of their own pocket.

    Hi :D

Just been to Tesco North Shields and noticed an out of date SEL.

Half price on this iron http://www.tesco.com/direct/russel-hobbs-18720-vertical-steam-feature-iron-with-ceramic-plate-whitepink/213-2221.prd?pageLevel=&skuId=213-2221

    Ended 27/02/2012.

Potential free iron, I don't need one but I was sooooo tempted! :rotfl:

Be careful, just because the label is ood doesn't always mean that the item is!
Sometimes staff leave old labels on extended deals.
