Embroided image took my order 9 weeks ago for three tshirts,
I ring him and he doesnt answer, when i finally get an answer he promises me he will send it out at the end of the day, but still waiting two weeks ago.
The guy has no staff and lots of orders that he cant keep up with, do not use!!!!!!
I also went down to his store as i live in lancashire, he showed me the logo on his computer etc etc went on about how much work hes getting in and how he is so amazing at seo tactics etc etc .And he again said that he would have it done by the end of the day.
He has till the end of this week to get my order to me or im going to go into his shop and take my moneys worth of goods with me!!

While you're clearly frustrated, that would be theft and you'd get nicked for it.

Overall, a lot of us are getting ripped off by this company, are there any people out there that know exactly how to stop someone- essentially tactically stealing money - is it a police matter, a civil matter, a trading standards matter? And can trading standards actually really do anything about it?

What have you done about it? You havent said what steps you have taken. I would revert back to post #8 and follow the advice given and post back what occurs and you will be advised from there

Why have you not taken any notice of the advice given to you?

In posts #2 and #6 I gave advice.

You appeared not to have seen that.

Before I offer more advice, please confirm that you have seen, and acted upon, my earlier posts.

Sadly the chargeback route is no longer open to you.
There is a 120 day timelimit.

Chargeback doesn't apply as I paid by debit card, which I already stated in the OP and it's under £100 anyway, and Trading Standards haven't had enough complaints to pursue, in addition the company appear to have no assets other than the store they operate from - which I would love to go to but would cost me more than the original complaint amount just to get there!

Yes, I read that you paid by debit card, which was why I said in post #2...

You could perhaps investigate your bank's debit card chargeback scheme...

Clearly you didn't read the article I linked to in that post either.
There is not a £100 minimum for the chargeback schemes.

But it doesn't matter now as you have passed the time limit anyway.
  • Hi All,
    Just an update from me. Basically I have given up I am sad to say. I contacted trading standards etc etc etc etc, sent all kinds of legally worded letters by recorded delivery, bla bla bla. Never once managed to get through on the phone. Fially got an email from him in June, saying;
"I know you may be frustrated thinking we have ripped you off we haven’t mate the firm i use for website sugarvine development has gone into admintration and this may have caused this problem please forwards colour of polo sizes and logo i will send you 4 tops instead of 2 i have only just got password for cart of immitrators when you log in on cart you can see it is just blank soon as i get sizes coulr and logo ill proitise this order straight away and send you 2 free for your onconveniance"

So gave him benifit of the doubt, again, emailed him the details of the order again, (even though he had them and had already emailed them to me) and never heard from him again.

All in all, I have been advised that as my original order was less that £50, it would not be worth my while taking him to court, it would cost me, and he could still just not pay up if he didn't want to.

So, legalised robbery in my opinion. Lets all set up fake websites and rip people off eh? Seems like it's perfectly ok.
Oh wait, no we are all honest hard working citizens and not criminals. Stupid me, I forgot for a moment it's not us who get protected, it's the criminals.

Sorry everyone, it just really hacks me off. Still, lesson learned.

Good luck to those of you who are still persuing this crook. I don't think you are going to succeed but I hope you do.

The only thing I can think to do is warn people not to use Embroidered Image.
  • Sadly I have just fallen for the same trap. I have sent numerous emails and left many messages with no reply. nearly 4 weeks and no response :(
