Wow, that's amazing! There's hope for us mutants yet then. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Viva if dark colours did not appeal, light brights would work well.....zingy lemon, a pale sherbet pink, a pale but hard (I.e. not pastel) lilac. Ice blues, spring leaf greens...Think lipgloss rather than lipstick, for sheer and bright.....and very high gloss for more light.0

I see colour (well) before this summer had hearing of a bat (I did a trial in Bristol after perforating my ear drum and I had amazing hearing...it's a bit dulled now but hear weird things, I wanted to see if one of those teen alarms deters me too). I have twenty twenty vision, when I can see that is!, I cannot roll my tongue, but well..it's never the less talented.
I am still rubbish breeding stock, nature just said 'no' as it was so appalled!
Never mind, if you had kids you would have to share your sandwiches.0 -
High gloss is a good idea, and something like a pale lemon wouldn't be too bad. I do like sherbety colours if that makes sense, not the strong ones, but the colours of lots of scoops of nice gelati. My house though tends to be very pale colours, the darkest room I've got (the downstairs loo) is painted natural hessian. Everything else is lighter. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? It's very odd. The secret colour thing came up this week, like suit linings. And one colour walls and cabinetry in kitchens (I have a great pic to show you of a local carpenters kitchen) and...something else, cannot remember what.
Meanwhile, today going to get paint, conversation drifted to gardens and your discussions on them, and I said I bet I had some pictures you might like, that would work well ina garden the size of yours, and with the kind of restraint of style you have so much more than I could ever hope to. Things like entire beds of just blue irises. So most of the year it's green and verdant, but then you get this heady blue chic rush, that is stylish and modern but old fashioned too......simia
R design principle to the sort of cabinetry we like.
That way you get to garden, but not be a slave to it iyswim.
I like some of this this garden designers work (though would never use one myself). http://www.robinwilliams.co.uk/
Also in a local garden this year the lavender lined raised beds (brick walls of which provide somewhere to sit) were planted only with poppies...Shirley's, so reds, pinks, whites. One of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. A bolder and more modern nod would be the orange Californian poppies I love so much (whoch would also look great with blue or purple irises...I love purple and orange together, it's like a violent shock of enforced joy)
I want to see this carpenter's kitchen!
Also, I would like to bottle this post and pour it on my garden. One day I will have one I can grow and keepEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Chewy DH is colour blind. Very colour blind. He once went into a store to buy a pair of trousers that he thought were pale grey and came out with something so bright green that he looked like the fifth member of Bucks Fizz in the Making Your Mind Up Video. He also can't be a pilot for that very reason, though at least he has a good job with an airline. Apparently in an emergency, it is a good idea to know the way up the plane is and to be able to tell the difference between the sky and the ground. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? My hearing is another thing that is awful, it really is bad. I think it's more to do with my brain being unable to focus on a voice when there is any background noise, as I find it very difficult to hear people in those sort of settings when others seem fine. Never had it tested though.
Shouldn't think anyone would want to touch the sandwiches I eat. And if I had kids they wouldn't be allowed to eat bread as it is evil.0 -

That old biddy in last of the summer wine likes bloody sexy in comparison ATM.
