How many hours is the part time one, and in what way would it be a financial hassle?
PN - hope the hold-ups live up to their name. Looking forward to hearing how the interview went.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
There's also the possibility, that if you packed the wall cabinets with heavy items such as tins of food etc, the cabinets could pull from the wall and fall directly on to the hob, the hob could then set fire to the cabinet, or the cabinet could put the flame out on the hob and you could have a gas escape.
...
So....complete replan, all tins and damage makers live in pan drawers under the hob. It works surprisingly well, and I now pretend that this was indeed our idea all along (and not some panic reaction, which is closer to the truth).
Rewriting history. Isn't it useful, at the workplace or at home!

CV and covering letter written, James is printing off the CV at school today.....having second thoughts on the full time thing though!
My parents think I am plain crazy for trying to go full time as the boys still need so much care and they are worried that not only will it be dangerous for the boys but that it would also be far too much for me to take on..trying to work full time and still be up all hours of the night with youngest, or being called out of work as one of the boys are having problems at school.
I've not bothered to discuss it with school or any other bod involved with the boys because I know what they will say.....not to do it, not the right time yet etc etc etc
But I want to get back, the boys are getting older and I have to start back sometime, preferably sooner rather than later.
Anyway, we could be worrying over nothing, knowing my luck, the company will take one look at the amount of time I have been out and throw my application in the bin...I'm probably only good enough now for minimum wage jobs . Who the hell would want me and all my baggage?
Employers understand that Mum's take time out of the workplace when they have young children to look after.
Part time work would help ease you back into work if you haven't worked for a few years.0 -

Sue's situation isn't typical. Her kids aren't young - they're teenagers - but two of them are autistic, so they need a lot more of her time and attention than other boys of the same age.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Well... you win some, you lose some.
1] Wrong outfit.... decided when I was waiting for the bus, but not enough time to run home and change. Oh well.
2] Had to do a writing brief; liked my writing style
3] Didn't c0ck up the interview, but they didn't ask any daft questions.
4] Hold ups held up .... but once I got my shoes off I discovered my toe-nail had poked through the end; annoying as they were a new pair.
Overall though, I think I didn't 'sparkle'... so I've probably come 2nd or 3rd.
Had a lovely hot pasty though0 -

Yesterday I came out of Tesco and couldn't remember where the car was, OH left the key in the (outside of the) front door, was in the library and the previous machine user had left their card in the machine.
