Aspies are often labelled negative, when we're realists based on our extraordinary experiences of life :)

LL invents that I am negative when all I've done is answer a simple question like "Had a good day?" "Yes". Bizarre/

So ...... LL then says anybody cam change ... and all that self help b0ll0x. I need to work out how to explain (without using the ASD names) .... that I have a lifelong physical brain impediment that can't be changed by reading some books.

LL has issues as needs to be surrounded by people... me... stick me on an island for a year (with Internet and a fridge of food) and I won't even notice there's nobody about.... in fact, when the boat comes to collect me I'll probably say "Hang on.... just need to finish this post...."

I would say the only ones i know are PN is female....i hope!
    And CK is male?!

Otherwise very unsure alot of the time. Think it must be a female dominant thread though if its nice people :)

CK is both male and female, depending on who's using it.

Anything signed by CK (Male) is generally a good indicator as to who's using it, as I always comment at the bottom. :)

We sat out in the garden the weekend before last and talking about the animals that we see there. I asked whether the bat (nicknamed batty - we are very original) still made an appearance. About 10 mins later when it got a bit darker we had a fly past from two bats :) The odd thing was that they were doing laps of our garden only, I felt like some kind of bat charmer!

haha, yes I understand. I have one daughter, and she will be a one and only. She is 2 and a half now, a handful but turning out to be very bright. I have never seen a child run so fast, when she hears me opening a box of cake. I have so much respect for people with lots of children.

Remember when I said your posts come across as very real, I think what I meant, is that often your posts literally make me laugh out loud! This one was a prime example..I don't think there is anything wrong with your brain, it's just different. It's like I am left handed, but today, when I was drawing a picture for my little girl, I only realised half way through it that I was actually drawing with my right hand! :rotfl:

Right, finally got my finger out, dug out the CV and now need to start this job hunting malarky ..... I shall probably prepare a short update/precis daily of:
    Found jobs: XX
    Applied for: XX
    Heard from: XX
    Interview arranged: XX
    Got one: XX

Although this might be depressing over the months if I am continually turned down for even "part time bottom wipers wanted for 2 hours 3x a week 20 miles away at NMW". :)

I probably need to amend that template to make it more interesting ..... or not bother.

...good luck. I missed your posts last night but got the jist of what's going on.

If a job does happen (which it may :)) the moving out process will be easier (as wages coming in) and swift.

Oh, I'm typically male. I say 'typically' because DH accuses me constantly of trying to solve things when she wants me to empathise and listen!

I often find myself agreeing with what seem more considered outlooks from the ladies on this board.

As an aside, gender and thinking can get confused. I nearly got in trouble recently, when I made a comment that a Male to Female transexual I know 'thought like a typical male'. This didn't go down too well as you can imagine, but it was my genuine view on their thinking patterns. This particular person has changed their sex, and now I find out that their ex-partner is changing to become a male! I wouldn't be surprised if they get back together. It's a funny old world, as they say.

The above really confused me :o
    Are you trans gender/sexual/vestite?

Our hedghogs are just the cutest things ever.
I filmed one but as he/she scuttled across the grass, he/she fell over our little wall .....I'll post it n YT and link it sometime.

Have been AWOL a bit recently (tho i do try to log in to catch up as much as possible) as we are surrounded by a lot of illness and things at the moment. Seems like every week I get news of one family member/friend/aquaintance having a tumour/cancer/stroke and then we get news of another a few days later.

    A brief summary of those nearest to us;
OH mother is not great post stroke, OK but some thing's not quite right so we have flown her youngest back from NZ for a couple of weeks so at least she will get to see her copus mentis ........just in case another stroke happens and causes more damage. OH excited to see his baby sister this week.

OH and I are then flying out to Canada in 2 weeks time as my Uncle is not in a good way (cancer) . Has a meet next week about further treatment (which he will probably decline....I had a chat with him tonight).

My sister's MIL has just found out she has an inoperable brain tumour (not cancerous) and it is growing steadily affecting her memory/function. She has no idea how long it will take and is already a bit confused. She lives down PN's old neck of the woods so may have to move and live with my Sis. Difficult relationship with her son as she abandoned her children when they were 11 but they reconciled many years later.

My Dad is kind of frail (but fit as a flea) but he seems very 'absent' a lot of the time. Loses track of time and time scale (his deafness doesn't help) and I think post 80 things are rusting up a bit so to speak.

My step sister had a near death experience and ended up in intensive care for 10 days due to a bodged polyps op. She is signed of work (she is a vet) for 6 months now. Fortunately, she is employed rather than running her own practise.

...and finally...my stepfather is fading a bit as a person. OK but his mind isn't what it was. I think he has had 4 strokes now and is just waiting for the big one. The irony is he is the fittest man I have ever known..all marathon running/swimming 20 miles every morning etc.

But don't want to be morbid on the NP thread....I'll probably delete tomorrow.........good to catch up on everyones news.:)
