Aspies are often labelled negative, when we're realists based on our extraordinary experiences of life :)

LL invents that I am negative when all I've done is answer a simple question like "Had a good day?" "Yes". Bizarre/

So ...... LL then says anybody cam change ... and all that self help b0ll0x. I need to work out how to explain (without using the ASD names) .... that I have a lifelong physical brain impediment that can't be changed by reading some books.

LL has issues as needs to be surrounded by people... me... stick me on an island for a year (with Internet and a fridge of food) and I won't even notice there's nobody about.... in fact, when the boat comes to collect me I'll probably say "Hang on.... just need to finish this post...."

....but you don't need to change as such plus she hardly knows you really so couldn't judge anyways.

I wouldn't fess up on the cigs either as that will be yet another thing she will think she can cure you of...and more aggro.

Some NPs also have children with aspergers and other forms of autism.

Someone I know was once asked where she had met her new boyfriend. She said airily, "Oh, he's my best friend's husband's best man's wife's brother." It was all true, too.

    Are you trans gender/sexual/vestite?

No, it's all explained further up this page. Kabayiri is a heterosexual male, married to a woman. He just hasn't got to grips with what the abbreviations yet, and used "DH" when he meant "DW".

So sorry to hear so much rubbish is coming at you and yours all at once. Hope things take a turn for the better soon.
    Hugs.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

2 NP (I think) have Aspergers, or am I just dreaming?

I have one with Aspergers and one with complex autism.....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I tend not to use the DS,DD, OH etc....I would only confuzzle myself!

Anyway, wonders of wonders..it has only take nearly two weeks but youngest has finally got a TA in his geography lesson over on the other campus (his statement states he is to have a one to one in every lesson, all the time), we don't know yet about business studies but will find out in a couple of days.

We are also on the search for a new drum kit for middle son (new to him rather than brand new) as his one, although it has done him well for the last 3 years, is no more than a cheapo practice kit and not really up to the job. We are all putting in for one as he is 16 next month but trying to get one on the budget I have that is decent enough is a challenge! We were hoping that now ex hubby would contribute more than he has pledged (£40) but (surprise surprise), he won't, so it will probably be my parents yet again taking up the slack.

I hate this, his band mates can get the decent stuff and brand new whilst middle son is scrabbling around getting the cheap second hand stuff and then they get onto him for not having the best stuff! Grrrrrrr

I do what I can afford and middle son understands that...just wish his friends could.

    HAI!!

    Long time no mither :)

It's sad when everybody around you seems to have these older people issues and you realise life's not going to be like on the telly with people alert and speaking up to the last 10 seconds when they simply slide away, contented, surrounded by family who gently sob. Instead it's quite traumatic and sad.

    :(

Nice to see you. Never leave the NP!

Sue - yay for the Geog TA. Hope the rest gets sorted soon. We're all right behind you if you have to do any more complaining. And good luck with the drum kit search.

fc123 - what PN said: never leave the NP. Hope that the fact we haven't seen much of you recently means that work is going awesomely and keeping you busy. :)
