Thank you both. I am so pleased and proud - out of all proportion to how I felt when I got into the top maths set myself at that age. Why do I feel this way?

Because you are you but he is precious to you.

Everything else still goes well for him i hope?

  • He is your son Lydia, I would feel the same. When our kids achieve something, it is natural for our hearts to burst with pride. I felt the same way today with my little one, she has started saying words together in a sentence. Today it was " more cake please " me and her are going to get along just fine.

    Very cute.

My freinds son (two and a half) was twlling me this week while we picked blackberries for his mother, that his mother did not want blackberries but HE did, so we really did not need to put them in the tupperware...:rotfl:

He loves gardening with me, because as far as he can tell gardening is about foing to see what is edible aty the right time. Blueberries earlier this summer were 'boobies' seeing he also called me 'Boobie' this caused some comfusion.

Well, having said no dog upstairs these days dog dog has just tiptoed in and moved like a slow loris imperceptably on the bed and is now cuddled up to the cats. Sigh. She will go down later, but she is obviously thrilled to have made it up here.
