While we are on my odd spending whims.....

Any of the nice people live near to new malden?

I sent one of my people (hahahahah) to the korean shop in store street today to replenish my long gone stocks of korean black rice, and the shop has gone. Two years ago apparently. Someone at centre point told 'my man' that its only possible to get it in new maldon nowadays. Thats a hell of a trek out of Town, unless you live round that part of greater london...

Is this the stuff? http://www.wingyipstore.co.uk/p-8786-honour-black-rice.aspx can buy it online if so.

Where do you live, MiddyMum? So I can update my NP map...if I can find it...
And even if you find it ..... is it right?
    :)
Where I lived wasn't even on your map .... and I'd been moved 100 miles east.... well .... my location is now on your map, so you'd need to move my marker.

Brighton must have the highest NP density, after Greater Hertfordshire.

I once did a map in a previous NP thread, but PN got in a huff because she fell off the map, so it was never developed any further. ;)

It'd probably amount to the same amount of floorspace in all honesty ..... not saying the others here have big houses etc ... but ... er ... they do :)

I used to think that my house was quite a decent size, especially after we extended.

Then I visited the places my Sister owns in Canada. It was a bit of a shock to the system!

Even the so called 'beach shack' at the lake dwarfed my home. A 'shack' does not have 3 floors in my view, with several kitchens and 4 bathrooms. We have a name for such a property here in the UK - it's called a "big house"!

At least I know where all our money went. When she asks for money to rebuild the garden shed I will demand pictures first ;)

Back here in Blighty we are supposed to be happy paying through the nose for modern shoe boxes with a roof.

    Okay okay. :)
I must admit a corrected version never appeared because of the non-interactive nature of the map. :o

  • Well there is a lovely big ethnic shop in Brighton I can have a look in for you?

I try not to go in there usually as I end up getting carried away with buying incense etc
