Heeheehee. I thought you were taking it calmly, :D

Lydia is right, i have no idea where to start a search, but i am. I have made a list of glass makers within reach. Now the bronze person remains a challenge. And someone to put the whole shebang together.
Phone the Old Kennel workshops, they do silver courses in your neck of the woods. Silver = bronze. All the same stuff when it comes to casting. Nobody will say they do bronze, they'll say silver..... but it's all just metal and exactly the same processes, tools, contacts.

More, from my random googling, to try:
http://www.lost-wax-casting.com/

Not sure if this bloke's still in business, he was running courses and offers the service you need, he offers the service to local sculptors. "If you would like your work cast in Bronze or Pewter please contact me for details
philip_wakeham@hotmail.com " His website's no longer working though, he's on the Devon/Cornwall border.

I should add that I opted for cooler lighting colour temperature. To some manufacturers like Halers, this means a reasonable 4000K. To other brands it can mean 6000+ kelvin.

I'm not saying it's anaemic, but in places it feels like I'm on set in the next Twilight movie ;)

Lol. I can see why someone would opt for cooler light colour. In theory its nicer. Because of the period of this house i am saved that quandry, it would look quite wrong.

However, i do have extremely pointed canine teeth and pale skin and have had no heating. Come january its not so far of twilight here.

While we are on my odd spending whims.....

Any of the nice people live near to new malden?

I sent one of my people (hahahahah) to the korean shop in store street today to replenish my long gone stocks of korean black rice, and the shop has gone. Two years ago apparently. Someone at centre point told 'my man' that its only possible to get it in new maldon nowadays. Thats a hell of a trek out of Town, unless you live round that part of greater london...

I wont be buying for a few years yet, but I am interested to know what part of the country people are buying in, as there seem to be a lot of londoners on this forum.

Where do you live, MiddyMum? So I can update my NP map...if I can find it...
• I am in Brighton, but I could be in any 5 locations from next year September (applying to uni) .

My best ethnic food finds have been in the little indian corner shops. You know the ones, where you go in and you have to brush past a whole load of wigs etc on the way in? Well right at the back, they usually have an array of rice, spices etc.

Brighton must have the highest NP density, after Greater Hertfordshire.

I once did a map in a previous NP thread, but PN got in a huff because she fell off the map, so it was never developed any further. ;)

I read that initially as "we bought twenty a period of 6 months ago".
It'd probably amount to the same amount of floorspace in all honesty ..... not saying the others here have big houses etc ... but ... er ... they do :)

I've planned a day out tomorrow.... probably mid-way between mine and LIR's .... doing some manipulation of precious metals :)

Or, a cheap(ish) fun day out practising my "making stuff" skills .... which I need a bit of help with as I am cack-handed.

In an attempt to get to know you all (and since this thread is in the house prices section) has everyone here now bought their house, or are you all still looking to buy? I wont be buying for a few years yet, but I am interested to know what part of the country people are buying in, as there seem to be a lot of londoners on this forum.

We bought our last house (it's got to be our forever house) seven years ago. Surrey SW London borders. Don't want to move, but wish we were closer to DS's school(in another borough). Good state schools, parks to walk the dog. nice shops, good bus /train links to London and countryside. It was the third house we owned although we did stay in a rented house for a while between moves, and rented a flat before we bought our first house.
DD moves out to go to uni in a week.
