The sun was way too hot - and I've no hat and so I went 4 miles and sat and watched the boats etc go by ...... then I cycled back. 8 miles in total though, so not too shabbty; at least I went out. SCORCHIO though!! SCORCHIO!!!!
i went out for lunch and sat in strada surrounded by idiot french bankers (french bankers/traders seem to make up something like 98% of all of the people who work in canary wharf. all french bankers are idiots).
it was SCORCHIO there too. 90 minutes in the sun with no shade, a couple of beers (not a normal lunchtime pursuit for me, first time i've had alcohol at lunch on a workday for a good 5 years), and, well, i haven't been much use this PM. i had to go and stand next to the freezers in waitrose for 10 minutes just to calm down as i didn't realise how hot i was until i got into the shade!0 -

You've been exercising quite a bit from what I've read on here. Get some proper carbs inside you: a bowl of pasta or noodles with some veggies is cheap, easy and good recovery food.0 -

LIR - I love the work so far. Very uplifting progress. It all looks so tidy and bright and natural.
Thank you spirit!
Nice builders are tidy too. I think most things look uncluttered and natuall with no decorative finish and furniture though.
My conflicted innerselfs, the bright vlashing extremeist and the ouritantical raw-ist are arguing constantly atm. So far puritanical lir has one the battle of the cheese room paint colours (lime white probably) but the other one got window dressings (eventually i will want shutters with blinds, we cannot afford shutters yet) but the blinds are likely to be in brighter, richer modern ticking stripes. With a bobble trim. They are still in battle, the inner mes, about the interior window finish. Purist me wants dark dirty beigey 'whiteish' and the other me wants blue green. I have had blue green before, its quite good in fact. It looks clean but not too in ya face.0 -
