A friend of mine witha toddler that grows like the incredible hulk uses them. She gets on average £5 a bin bag full of folded clothes. Because of the nature of her mil, she has four or five of these four or five times a year. £100 quid a year ain't bad.0 -

Depends how soft your water is. Use a chick pea of shampoo in a hard water area and your hair won't feel washed.
I now barely ever shampoo. My hair is relieved.and now, always feels clean. Gerting used to not shampooing like a fiend was difficult, but my hair was getting drier and drier (dry hair any way then thyroid). I conditioner only wash ( and sometimes use Wen, which is an expensive way of doing the same thing really) and my scalp has never felt better.

When I buy sweeties, I buy by £/100g. I scan the shelves and find the cheapest 2-3 things.... then choose between them. Lidl 'bounty bars' for example come in at about 35p/100g, whereas choosing something like Mars bars might be £1.10.
My Minstrels at £1/170g were 58p/100g, but I also knew that Asda are doing similar (smaller) bags at £1/100g at the moment - and I treat myself to those pouch bags of Minstrels about once a year. The Thorntons 250g for £1 were 40p/100g .... so a great cheapish treat.
I shop by weight on most things. I don't go round all the shops to get a 'weekly shop' as I don't do weekly shops; I do random 'what do I fancy' food shops - in the shop I happen to find myself in.... but I know my £/100g for a lot of stuff and aim for that.0 -

I bit the bullet and ordered 6 jars of coffee from Amazon on subscribe and save, which gives a 10% discount. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I should go and put my bike together and pump the tyres up. It's only 2.3 miles away now .... but I do need a spanner and I haven't got one. Lovely day ... and there's a 7 mile flat promenade to explore. Although, to do that justice, I need a packed lunch in my pannier.... I've got some stuff I could chuck in a bag though (crisps, cheese topped baps, tomatoes, cheese coleslaw, boiled egg).
When I viewed I wanted a bike store and she said I could put it behind the garage; in fact, I think she lied and I don't want to do that. Behind the garage is accessible only if other people's cars aren't there, it's overgrown and damp and nasty .... and the bike's about £300s worth of shiny metal and accessories and there's nothing to secure it to...... it was a rash purchase made about 6 years ago .... daft really, but I had limited accesss to bikes where I used to live; even buying one was a complete nightmare. Of course, now I could buy a 2nd hand one of these bikes for about £100. Aluminium frame means it's the weight of a handbag - and I've even been known to carry it single-handedly up 100 steep cliff steps without any problem whatsoever... and as viewers won't know it weighs nothing I look like a "double 'ard b4st4rd"
Daren't leave it anywhere though as the seat is on a quick release and comes off in 2 seconds flat.....0 -
