There's potential for a lot of issues in the whole paralympics ideal.... e.g. the girl who won one of the swimming events is actually just "a bit short". Now, while her disability is more than that, she's got all her limbs and is .... just a bit shorter than average. Let's just say I know somebody who is a bit taller .... and old, with a degenerating spinal twist and asthma ... who does a (verified/official) faster speed over the same distance in that stroke (when it's not even their specialist stroke or distance).... must be loads of people "a bit short" that could swim faster too :)

"Just a bit short" .... and could have swum against people with no arms or legs.

It's all kind of .... a bit weird really.

Have you considered powerline adapters to replace the CAT cabling? There's often a nice deal on HUKD, picked up a 200Mbps set for £25 recently.

Ah right. Yep the more you think about it there's just no way you would get over 4m strides.
You probably can as those blades are springy ..... one powerful leg thrust could get you 4m I bet if you were trying for blade distance.

Do they have a hob, skip jump in the paralympics? Could clear the sandpit!

Yes, as a jump of course. But not running.
Not seen triple jump at the para's no.

Edit: Just looked up how many strides Bolt takes over the 100m. Answer 41. And he's 6'5".

It shouldn't happen, except in emergency. There seems to be a general lack of clarity/transparency in how the whole system works. And joining the dots that "X only comes in on Mondays" and "Y can only do their job if X is in" seems to go adrift if X can have holidays without Y's clinic flagging up as an issue right away.

As a patient, it'd be nice to know that "We only do this on Mondays because X needs to .... and then Y needs to .... and X only comes in on Mondays, although Y is in on Mondays and Thursdays doing other stuff....." I hate it when I am asked for any appointment "best time for me" when they have the whole book in front of them and I'd like to see the choices and choose one.....

I'd have had that if I had: a microwave that worked .... and some bread. Had a go with a saucepan on the hob, but it's gas - and you have to balance pans of boiling water onto pieces of metal..... not a skill I've needed before and I was quite bad at it when I tried the other day. They don't sit straight, if you touch the handle then the whole pan drops and water slops.... potential for a scalding disaster for me :)

I've got "pockets" http://www.kingsmillbread.com/our-range/sandwich-alternatives/pockets/5050/ which I will fill later with boiled egg, mayo and cheese chunks (contents in fridge all to be used up soonest).

You need a pan that's quite a bit bigger than the gap between the supports.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
