One hell of a rush this morning, we had to get up, washed, dressed, out the house, drop James off at work, dismantle and load up the car with the drum kit (not a 5 minute job as his kit is massive!) at my parent's and then get to the practice hall for 9.30 this morning.

    We were bang on time.

Then to try to get youngest's blazer, we turn up at the start of the selling session on the first day and guess what? Yep, you've guessed it...they have sold out of his size and it will have to be ordered and won't arrive before school starts. Why oh why do they only sell the uniform in the 2 days before they go back, surely doing it last week would have given a chance that things would be here before the term started.

Then onto the weekly shop...which became a can't quite be bothered to do a weekly shop as I feel a tiny bit stressed so will just get a few things in shop.

Home now but back out again in less than 90 minutes to pick up drum kit and middle son, drop some of his kit at my parent's and take him and the remaining kit to where they are doing a workshop with one of the bands who supported The Darkness at Thetford forest this year.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Oh and I don't like egg and soldiers but my kids love them...

    On the plus side,QUOTE]

That you have found a plus side is bl**dy amazing.

A common NHS problem is that there is generaly no integrated rostering of staff so different professions all being scheduled to be in the right place at the right time to ensure co-odependant skills are available can be a bit hit and miss.

Ward staff are used to being scheduled but other professionals seem to think it an assault on their professional freedoms. I am not impressed by Lancelot Spratt seeing me maybe.

You should complain. Unless unexpected sickness, bereavement etc for the staff member concerned this was forseeable on the hospitals part.

I have now added cold roast pork, stuffing and crackling and two oaty biscuits to the gluttony count. I have had a mug of instant coffe with caffiene (I usually have mint tea) and dropped the coffee jar so that it has spilt over the kitchen floor. Swept it into a dustpan but still cracking under foot so obviously not done a very good job.

Am showered but not dressed , in dressing gown, so just as well you cannot pop round really as I am not fit for visitors.

Pastures should find this reassuringly not posh, I am finding it like purgatory but CBA to do anything but search for food. Considering mozzarella, tomato and basil as next snack.

I think considering mozzarella and basil as a snack (and having them) is posh ... when you consider the non-posh snack-fest would probably have said a cheese sandwich :)

I bought mozzarella once, for a pizza topping. Wasn't very impressed with it .... it was a Tesco value pack.... cheese in watery stuff. It didn't cook up to be thick and stringy like mozzarella should be.

You need a pan that's quite a bit bigger than the gap between the supports.
That's not easily achieved with a combination of:
[1] not my pans [2] only wanted to boil 3 eggs [3] couldn't get the smallest one lit at all (although I did, eventually (20th attempt) manage to work out how to light one of the rings, although I don't know how I did it, so will have to start from scratch next time to get a flame.

I use pans "only just big enough for the current job", so the whole concept of having to balance over-large pans onto bits of metal, while there are flames on the loose and boiling liquids...... it's not really for me. I'm also too jumpy .... I'd be so nervous lifting the pan off that if there were a sudden noise the whole lot'd hit the ceiling/floor ... and me.
