I paid £400. I used some method that had a gel that you put in tooth shields. Advantage is that I can in theory buy more gel and use the same shields.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It shows what good taste he has: he married you and steals my jokes!Forgive me for pointing it out, but it looks like you have had more than just your teeth done between the two photos.
I know. It's amazing the difference it makes isn't it.0 -
Agree.
I have single piercings in each ear lobe.
I dislike looking at those earrings that stretch the earlobe.
A guy working in Tesco car park here has stretched his lobes to the size that you could fit a 50p coin through the hole, I avoid looking at him.
My needle phobia extends to being revolted (to the point of nausea) by any peircings or tattoos. I have learnt to "deal with it" for regular pierced ears as they are pretty universal.
Some years ago when asked to hear an appeal concerning staff with facial piercings I decided in favour of the member of staff. I explained to the annoyed manager that although I shared their horror of the (then relatively uncommon) eyebrow piercing, I also felt the same about the pierced earings they were wearing. Stretched lobes, pireced tongues all equally yuk.
One of the things that I am proud of is that I did not inhibit my DD from having her ears pierced, she knows how I am about it, but also knows I would not seek to impose my foibles on her - although when she had her navel pierced she did not mention it as she thought I would feel ewwww . It is my problem not hers.
This summer on a trip to visit Mr S in France I bought her a pair of silver and mother of pearl earings. I have never bought or even looked at such things before.0 -
My parents didn't really like piercings, but can cope with "standard" earrings as long as there's some kind of stud covering the hole, rather than a hook going obviously through it. For ages I used to try to remember to wear the kind that didn't upset them when I knew I was seeing them, but I think they eventually got used to the idea.
I wouldn't ever want to have loads of extra piercings myself, and I don't find them attractive in other people, but I don't find them upsetting or offensive in the same way that many of my friends do.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Is gdb or another of our Jewish cultural advisors?
IIRC the Jewish 'guide book' my cousin and aunt by marriage gave me tells me that altwring the body that God gave us is 'wrong' and tattoos are covered by that. Yet people have hebrew in tattoos.....is this irony on the part of tattoo artists startinga trend, or just ignorance, or is my information wrong? I like to think its the former. I am also always slightly puzzled when people have things done in languages they do not speak or read, chinese lettering etc, unless there was a particular reason....0 -

I would also be worried that I would end up with something rather rude tattooed on me in a different language!0 -

they think it looks cool, special and unique, i expect. i suppose some people are impressed by it, but i suspect they are the sort of people who keep staffies on a bit of string instead of a lead, and drink diamond white all day in the park.0 -

I have bread here. I'll make you a sandwich but you would have to come here and eat it.
In fact, i even have crisps here. I can make one of your favourites.
Shop is much easier. Or going without.0
