It is a comedy. It starts off with a factual animation about tax avoidance by Philip Green. However they then go into a real Top Shop and launch the Monte Carlo range. To watch just the clip, go to iPlayer and start just after 7 minutes in.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? To say nothing of his belief that taxes are only for the little people
He is a very vain man too.
There was some hooha in the trade press recently about TS excessive use of interns (like unpaid for a year) but I think they paid them something in the end as the press got hold of it.
The entire empire is driven from the base upwards with a recipe of exploitation and uneccessary (IMO) greed. It was fascinating to be involved though and see it 1st hand but 2 and half years was more than enough for us. It got us to a level whereby we could afford to leave + live by our principles again.:)0 -
Just to lower the tone a bit ....it is my beer talking....there is a thread on another board asking people if they have tattoos.
I am needle phobic and unsurprisingly do not have any piercings or tattoos. Do other NP have anything?
Another conventional response from me - single piercing in each earlobe in the usual place, no other piercings, no tattoos. Someone I know at work has 20+ piercings, though, as well as at least one tattoo. She also has 4 microdermals on her collarbone.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Sound like funny stuff I will watch tomo pm
Like 'reverse shoplifting'.
One of the funniest bits in a book I read was a shopaholic book about her designer friend in NY whose brother was funding his label and he had lied about being stocked in somewhere like Barneys.
Brother is so proud so flies out to visit so he has to sneak around the rails in the store and hang out his range in a reverse shoplifting moment.0 -
I opened the link but the clip I did wasn't that.

ETA: there is a very rude bit about bankers earlier on in the programme, so if there are kids around, make sure you fast forward or mute or they could learn some very choice language...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I am home alone this weekend. Opportunity to eat things I like.
Dinner tonight:
Baby new potatoes
Lamb steaks
Mountain of spinach
Elderly neighbour engaged me in a chat just after I put dinner on to cook.
Potatoes stuck to saucepan.
Lamb dried out to shoe leather substitute
The spinach mountain I did cook ok but it reduced to two tablespoons full.
Hello young businessman...welcome. By way of introduction I am not young, like mushrooms and live very very south.
Wot?? No crisp sandwiches? I don't understand. [insert very confused smiley here]0 -
I don't want to offend anyone who has one but I find tattoos horrid. Or indeed any kind of modification going. Piercings...hmmm. No.0

Does Mrs Chewy have pierced ears? (Only answer that if you want to - don't want to pry.)Do you know anyone who's bereaved?
