So the Americans are silent when one of their teenagers powers through the water races like a propelled boat?
Of course, of course.
Like when a 15 year old american trounces the reigning olympic champion in the 800m, cutting 5 seconds off her personal best and setting a US national record in the process, or something like that I suppose.0 -

 That could NEVER happen naturally could it?
Not after the last one...0 -

Hasn't she improved by around 11 secs in the last month? is that the one? I know she's a growing girl, but .... it's an unbelievable performance. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I wish I knew I had disappeared. I also wish I had more hours having failed to catch up with last night this morning I have now taken hours to catch up this evening.
CK my thoughts are with you.
I always just use tables as basically you can force the browser to put things where you want although obviously it doesn't scale very well, mucking around with divs and all that flow rubbish is too much like art rather than science.PasturesNew wrote: »Should I remember where michaels has disappeared to?
I thought stiff was an integral part of the activity?
Mind you, to be called my lover, would certainly imply we are participating in a particular activity and we have found that is certainly not what the doctor ordered with my (and his!) joints....and that was without actually doing anything remotely close to love making!
Right - we have had several of the cheap thermo-mixers and the temp control just seem to get very stiff after even a short while, I'm not sure if it is the hard water or because we have the hot water quite hot and the wax pellets degrade. Thefirst one looked similar to the bar one you suggest later on and when it got stiff because there was not a lot to grip on to it became virtually impossible to turn and eventually broke, as did the warranty replacement 6 months later. We then got one like this which is currently still going strong although it is now in the guest bathroom so much less used but has more leverage.
Our new bathrooms have this sort and are getting stiff so I would go with MiisK and say go for quality. Fitting shouldn't be too bad although the thickness of the tiles can be an issue. Make sure you have some ptfe tape and a suitable slim spanner to hold the offset linking piece still whilst you tighten the shower.I need advice about showers, please. ATM there is one of these over my bath. If I lived alone I'd be happy with it. Flow rate is fine, temperature is fine, everything's fine... until DD or DS uses a tap or flushes a loo or something, and then I get scalded. It's happening too often, and I've decided it's stupid to have a house with two bathrooms and a downstairs loo and then not have a thermostatic shower. So I want to replace it.
I am wondering if I can replace it myself. I can turn off and drain down the water system, and I can do basic things with spanners, but I'm not up to drilling holes in walls or welding pipework or that kind of thing. Do you think I could find a thermostatic shower that would fit onto the pipes I already have plumbed in to supply this one? Would it be a good idea to get one of the same brand - ie would that make it more likely that the pipe spacing would be correct? If so, does anybody know anything about Triton thermostatic showers and whether they're any good?
PS Doozer - did you get my PM with the grid reference of my friend's house, and did you have any ideas as to what she should do?
ETA Can anyone explain the difference in price between the one I've just linked to and this one? I'm mystified, and have no idea which of the two I've got. It looks like that, anyway.I think....0 -
How about a tichel? When I first met my wife, she was wearing one. Gorgeous!
Actually, now you mention it, hiair or no hair i would love to be able to put a scarf on my head that stayed there. I need someone to teach me. I li,e to wear a scarf under a riding hat, but it always falls out from under the hat. And i'd like to wear them for housework....same thing, it ends up dangli g fro m head knotted in one bit of hair and hurting like the dickens.
Would you ask her how i het it to stay put?0 -

The key may lie in what the scarf is made of. Cotton seems to work. Anything shiny is probably a nightmare. I think that's exhausted my knowledge on the subject.
Edit: I'm sorry - I just can't ask my wife how to put a tichel on.
But ISTR it's a square folded into a triangle. Long side over the head at the front, and the two ends knotted at the nape of the neck.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
