    Five pages......!!!

Although the last few days have been sad and difficult for you, 93 is a great innings CK. You'll remember your GM as she was, not as an invalid. It was the same with my Dad. Though confused, he was mobile & relatively healthy right to the end and he wouldn't have wanted the indignity of being completely reliant on others. I bet some of your self-motivation genes were down to GM! :)

Oh Yes :rotfl:....just showed this to OH (who I could tell was thinking of going up to scan the room before we go to sleep) and he wants one very much. Love Love the name ''The Executioner Fly Swat Wasp Bug Mosquito Swatter Zapper''.

So tomorrow I will order The Executioner for him :)

I think our men will be swatting with their executioners (stark nekked) at roughly the same time every night.
    He sends his thanks.

I need to thank this post twice. maybe three times :rotfl:

Planning permission came to us without a single objection, but it's beginning to look as if we won't be able to afford Plan A anyway. The EAs that visited last week said it might be a step too far for this type of property, assuming we may eventually need an easier life and our money back, so that's a great way to rationalise going for Plan B. :o

From a money-only perspective, the most effective thing would be to do a bit of minor pulling down/ tarting-up, put the place on the market and move on. But a house is a home etc etc, and besides, it would probably mean leaving this area.

Mind you, there's some nice places on the market 'elsewhere' with the prospect of more income. However, in 18 months the government will be paying me something like an extra £500 a month. :D

We don't need any electric bug swatters, fun though they sound (in the right place among consenting adults, naturally.......very naturally, by the sound of it;))

We have dozens of Hirundo rustica doing the job for us. :D

    What's the difference between plans A & B?

I'm still not watching any of the Big O.

Especially once the flatmate's home.... seems to thrive on a diet of Britain's Next Top Model, opera/ballet and films where people are dressed magnificently... and he knows who everybody is and everything else they've ever done, who directed it etc etc etc.... did his BA in Acting and did some, but then dropped out for a 'proper job'.... so he's mourning the career he wanted and viewing the lifestyles of people he wanted to mingle with/become I guess.

I keep getting caught watching rubbish on the telly :) Low-brow rubbish....

Plan A goes up a floor, just in the centre of the building, and also extends at one end to create two en-suites. (or not if we can't afford them!)

Plan B doesn't exist in fully-sorted form yet, but it means staying on one level and building out at the back to create a living/garden room. Also remodelling at the front to get rid small, but hideous, flat roof.

Whatever plan we go for, we'll be re-modelling the bedroom end of bungalow & moving the front door to get rid of useless corridor space.

I had pictures till the old computer expired! :o

I don't mind B, although it loses the fantabulous views.

Twozer likes cherries. Is that alright do you think? Doozerdog won't anything that isn't meat.

Westie dog likes his fruit and veg. His favourites are carrots, apples, pears and melons.

If I was swinging a high voltage bug executioner around, I'd wear at least my jammies.

Now here is a confession, we have two of these rackets. We did have three but we gave one to my mother.
