A waste of good wine, IMO.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Dregs of a glass from the night before?
They aren't big drinkers so only need a bit:D
My new kitchen has no roof and looks beautiful. Would love to live in a glass house.0 -

No motivation today. Webt to shops but didn't feel compelled to buy anything though I look like a bag lady with holes in my clothes.
Wondering whether to have a sleep and then do a big dog walk somewhere...Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

As for sleep, wish i could give you some of mine. I am awake now but lying down and have been drifting in and out this morning.
I am basically waking up for commitments to animals etc then falling back to sleep. My dogs haven't been walked to day and so are barking more.
Mauve squeaker thinks all this sleeping is brilliant, very snuggled in and purring, but pink whistley brought be a hugely pregnant mouse to try and perk me up earlier.
I am on the train into town. I feel awful. I should just about make it as long as I can get through the tube journey. If there are problems on the tube and it is hot down there I will almost certainly vomit!
As soon as I get there I am finding some grass near a big screen to lie down on!0 -
Swallows were doing low-level this morning, which is what they do when it's still and humid, or on any evening. They're amazing even at low speed. One was hovering its way along the side of the old polytunnel, picking off the insects that had alighted there.
Now they're higher, so the weather should be on the up as well.
The chickens aren't averse to picking off a few larger flies as well. They're surprisingly nimble, suddenly launching themselves vertically to whip the odd unsuspecting insect from the low hanging branches or the fence.0 -
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Chewy, I hope your digestive system manages to hold itself together for your Olympic day out
So, I have some news...
I have a job!!! Got the phone call on Friday, and have been holding on for the paperwork to arrive before mentioning just in case I'd somehow managed to mis-interpret the phone conversation (which I can barely believe), but I've just been told it will arrive in 7-10 days and I don't think I could keep quiet for that long!
The only bad news is that this means I have to get on with my thesis. Haven't checked whether job is conditional on having finished (have been equally tempted to check that they have completed the reference checks, but have managed to stop myself on that one too), and really should do either way. Have a starting date of 3 months from now so should be do-able. Eek!!!
Is your second interview this week Chewy? Hope it goes really well for you0
