and we are in....the holiday home that is.

    Officially ours. :)

Trying to organise everything in days, I've never spent a holiday running around so much.

One bedroom is furnished, 2 are being done tomorrow, one is empty.

Kitchen appliances bought and some installed.

    Air conditioning now working :)

Internet being sorted - at the moment I am perched at the end of the balcony feasting on someone else's wifi.

Workmen here tell you when they are going to arrive, phone you on the day with a 2 hour slot and then phone you 20 minutes before they pitch up. Why can't they do the same at home?

    and IKEA deliver and assemble.

In the end a friend in the block insisted that we couldn't sleep on blow up air beds and offered us a spare room until our furniture showed up, so not even mock camping.

The downside is that it is very hot and the pool isn't officially complete, though we are using it. The indoor pool room is being tiled and the sauna, jaccuzzi and gym aren't ready. The ground floor is meant to be a boutique hotel - at the moment it ressembles a building site.

In 5 days you have posted 30 pages, no way the internet connection will hold that long, so please tell me if I've missed anything crucial.

When I was in newquay, it was amazing how tame the birds are there.
Sat next to the west end bowls club (overlooking towan beach) eating sandwiches, & the starlings would fly up to your hand to take bread offered to them from you!

    I have pictures...

    We've all missed you.

LIR has been struggling & everyone has nagged her to go to A&E.

    LIR didn't go to A&E;)

    Wheezy returned from his hols.

    Nikkster got her job (yay!:j).

Chewy is expelling from every orifice, the same day as his finally long awaited for olympic tickets arrived.

fc123 is going to show LIR how to tie a scarf.

LydiaJ wants a shower for her home.

Michaels is back. As is davesnave (who may have to review his extension).

PN can't believe how posh her new home area is, or how bad her new flatmates tv tastes are.

It sounds an exciting new beginning, and I hope you have fun in the sun and look forward to when your trips there are relaxing.
