Sorry you've been sworn at lir. Hopefully the air in the room will change back soon. Can we blame the end of the grass pollen season?

got called a t055er so i guess they thought i was no nice person.:D

I was called the same thing last week.

Apparently I was supposed to stop and give way to a white van man, even though the obstruction was on his side of the road.

The Highway Code appears to have changed in the last few years, I often seem to be the only driver around who allows Buses to pull away from their stops, I think I should buy a new copy to get up to date.

Ypu know, i am a bit throaty now too, not usual for me too, but guess its allergy.

Being sworn at doesn't really bother me. My impression was the guy was more worried about it than me, and so any swearing and blood pressure levation is his lingering problem not mine. Its the oddest way to stage a protest imo. Does any one care what people who revert to such behaviou think of them? I certainly do not, as soon as people show themselves yo be the kind of person who behaves like that i really feel their opinion on my driving as relevant as that of a gnat.

In fact, i was in the wrong, technically :D

    Hi

We were all thinking of you in your absence. The thing with the big C is nobody can tell you the "when" and then it all happens; although from the first sign there's something up there's so much to do all the time there's not often time to spend on "nice things" with the patient, which can lead to some regrets.... you're so busy fighting "today's battles" there's no time for "life as usual" or any respite.

It's not now over, it's just begun as your life will fill with memories and reminders - and you've still got a whole year of those "firsts" to deal with. Things will be different from now on, things will become "before" and "since"; you'll never forget.

Try to remember the nice things and not to dwell on what (with hindsight) you think you could have done better/differently ... because in the heat of the battle you don't have the time to think, nor the ability to do things differently.

I find myself thinking constantly of my old that's gone ... and rarely one thought for the remaining one.... I'm sure that'll be the cause of future guilt for me...

    All the best.

This is such a great posting.

I think this is really what i love about the np. Who'd a thought i would learn an aspie as they are described on paper could share that with a much cared about cyber chum.

Silvercar, we care, its all we can do, but its sincere i know it is. What ever you feel is right for you. Hug and be hugged by your boys and husband.

Is anyone else watching the diving? There's a 15-year old girl diving for team GB. I don't think they will get a medal but what a fantastic experience at her age. I'm loving their cossies too, one of the best pieces from Stella. The Malay cossies remind me of Blockbusters.

The correct answer was rubidium bromide, - not carbon dibaxide.

Did anyone notice in the opening ceremony how big many of the athletes were?

The girls carrying the country names were selected for being tall allegedly but at least some of the athletes dwarfed them.

Is there a sort of 'scorecard' anywhere where you can compare what the Olympic team was hoping to achieve and what they have achieved so far?

Related question: The press always get incredibly upset unless British athletes are incredibly successful. Does anyone else care as long as they do their best?

    Thanks for this.

Of the 14 months since diagnosis, we had spent more time together than in the previous years. A lot of that time was "good time". He felt fine, if tired, through most of the chemo and we went out and about in a way we never did (due to the distance) when he wasn't ill. So there are a lot of good memories created because he had C.

So, at the moment, the main regrets are the years when we were so busy with our own lives that we didn't spend much quality time together. Plus the boys dodn't have that much of a relationship with their grandparents on my side, and hadn't got to see him since February.:o
