That's what I thought, funnily enough!
Any news on what Heathrow's like for Tuesday?💙💛 💔0 -
I'd second that, and also push The Wasp Factory.
I don't read much in the way of books unless it's the hols. When I'm at work I don't get to see the telly, and I intend to watch several TV programmes from end to end.
Dexter and MadMen I know I like and many people are recommending Breaking Bad. Anything else the NPs find unmissable?
Already read the wasp factory.
Dexter is awesome.
I struggle to miss QI whenever it is on. I also love family guy. Loved series 1 and series 3 of whitechapel. Found them gripping & amazing tv. Series 2 was ok.
Loved 24 when it was on.
A blast from the past - loved twin peaks.
I am finding that I watch less tv nowadays...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Saw hardly any of the opening ceremony - planning on watching it in full next week. Loved the little bits I caught. The music is being packaged on to a 2cd set, & I will be buying it though...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Could watch QI endlessly.
Family Guy's one of the cleverest comedies in recent years. Spend ages trying to work out who can hear Brian and Stewie. Agree on 24.
Got a few box sets to watch in the hols -
House.
battlestar Galactica.
"24" season 6.
For those NPs with kids (CK/michaels/not sure who else), best thing we ever did was get those DVD screens for the backs of car seats so kids can watch videos on while we're travelling across the country.
Just sitting down to watch the pilot episode of Breaking Bad. Let's see how good it is! Edit: it's pretty good!
And just found out the women's road race is tomorrow so after that the roads round our way will be back to normal.
One for the scientist NPs (I'm looking at you Nikkster). What's the only compound whose formula is a palindrome? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Dh and i were in a silly mood last night and discorvered that it is very hard to say dame judy dench ten times quickly, whereas maryelizabet masterantonio just trips of the tongue. You would think it would be the other way round would you not?0 -
I'm home and back.
Feeling a little weird. There is a certain detachment, because all the events of the last 2 weeks were in Cardiff and now I'm home and the house is exactly the same (except for the piles of washing).
The short story is that Dad went into hospital for some tests to identify what the immediate problem was, he deteriorated each day and passed away 6 days later. Then we had the funeral and an official mourning period and now I'm home.
How am I feeling? Sometimes I'm fine and sometimes I'm not. I don't have anything useful to say silvercar, but I've been thinking of you and your family. Glad you've got a good circle of friends to support you x0

My first thought was H-O-H, but that is more commonly written as H2O and if you used that method, there would be more answers.
I have dusted off my periodic table and come up with RbBr...0 -

I'm so sorry for you and your family. It's absolutely normal not to be feeling fine for months afterwards, and you never really get over the loss entirely - nor would you want to.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
