I want cake, and roughly £250 million give or take.
Today I'll choose an indian curry and £3million.

I'd choose a magic Munchie Box that never ran out. And a magic bottle of Schiehallion.

As regards money a few thousands would do me. But could they also be magical pounds that you can keep spending forever (oh wait a minute that's how we all ended up on the MSE web site in the first place!):D

Me neither. I ended up on MSE looking for advice on council tax refunds. The advice was so good, that after I won, I encouraged my neighbours to apply. The result was a total refund of c£110k, the biggest ever in Hertfordshire. Not a bad result:D.

Did anyone else watch Bert and Dickie? What a fantastic film. Totally enjoyed it and it got me in the Olympic spirit.

London peeps, how did day one of the Olympic lanes go? How were the tube lines round the east end with the practice opening going ahead? Hope you all got around ok.

I tend to catch the last expensive train and it seems to be busier than normal althoguh with fewer commuters. UG is also busier at about 9.45 with tourists, many of who do not understand that you stand on the left of the escaltor

First Capital Connect are delyed most days but that is no different from normal.

Why do people smell so bad when it is hot? Deodorant, walk slowly, shade, cold drinks, air-conditioing. There is no need to get hot and stinky.

I thought it was the right.... not that I'd remember if I am ever there.

    Deodorant - probably sweated off.
Walk slowly - we are not always in charge of our deadlines/timelines
Shade - can't always get that
Cold drinks - not always accessible, wouldn't stop you sweating much
Air conditioning - that's not a choice; I've never worked anywhere that had it. Even shops don't have it.
    No need.... yes there is.

Shocker. The jubilee line had a major signal failure. Took me 1 hr 45 to get home (normally 50 mins or so). The DLR queuing system didn't seem to cause trouble though (although I didn't see it in peak rush hour). To compound matters there was a road accident at the level crossing at north sheen.

A lot of confused tourists blocking escalators and trying to put oyster cards into the ticket slot as well.
