Pastures, how about taking the car to one of those BPs that also sell M&S food, or similar? That way you can kill two birds with one stone and have a full belly at the beach, without wasting too much time doing so.

Beets are messy, but worth it, particularly fresh and raw imo.

Tesco is my nearest petrol station, it's only 1 mile away ... which doesn't sound a lot, but when you're lazy it might as well be Mongolia.

Also, BP/M&S might be "just round your way".

I got an alternative memo. Don't go to dorset:
    http://news.uk.msn.com/search-for-woman-after-rock-fall-1

The caravan park right near there is where we went for 20 years and where we are trying to get back to if we could only work out the transport for my parents (mum won't drive all the way to Dorset).

I always avoided walking along the beach by the cliffs as I was OCD about cliff collapses, my view being that if they can collapse over the winter when we are not there, then they can collapse when I am walking by them. I was the same about walking on top of the cliffs, never went to the edge closest to the cliff edge on the path and never when there had been lots of rain/stormy weather.

We actually, over the years, watched several holes from the golf course on the other side of the cliff (going from Freshwater over to West Bay), disappear....the place where we have several photos of mum in 1982/3 which was a fair distance from the edge, is now no more.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

So .... when everything's down to you ... you have to do it. I went to Mr T. Bought a sandwich, big bunch of bananas, some Hertfrodshire Perino Tomatoes on the Vine and a Cheese/Tomato flatbread. Just poured boiling water over another packet of couscous, so that'll be a few minutes. That haul should be 2 days' worth.

Went to the petrol station and got into a minor ruck with a man with a speed boat that thought he was God. Well, he was wrong, he was rude .... and he had to wait. The woman in the shop said "Goodness, he was aggressive", I just said "Yes, but he was wrong so he had to wait".

    :)

Quick overview of the man/boat story: I pulled into the station, queue of 4-5 cars on the left, queue of 2-3 cars in the middle. So I joined the queue in the middle. 10 minutes later and man with boat simply rocks up into a slot that's only JUST becoming available, thereby queue jumping everybody who had been patiently waiting on the left. My queue moved forward and I moved my car so that it was at the pump. A huge Mercedes car had parked in the far, far left of the forecourt, presumably to go into the shop. I got out and started filling my car and boatman decided he wanted to leave, but he didn't have the turning circle, so told me to move my car back. I said I couldn't because I'd started and he had to wait and be patient. He tried telling me I was blocking the forecourt - it wasn't me, it was the Mercedes in the wrong place and the boatman who queue jumped and chose the wrong pump location .... so I just said to him with each thing he said to me "Just be patient"..... and I carried on :)

Of course, my head was thinking "F*** off you queue-jumping f***wit"

This was the reverse of walking on water, then? Kind of impressive. :rotfl:

All my plants are shrivelling up and dying in the heat.

I find this odd, i know its HOT, but the ground is still dampunderneath. We will have to water tonight.

What's the weather going to be like for the olympics? If it's scorching, everybody around the world will think what wonderful weather we have in London, so they'll come and visit. They'll step off the plane in January wearing a T shirt and shorts, and our retailers can make a fortune selling them winter gear. Same will happen in the summer, too.

How many hours/week do NP spend reading books?

    Me: 0 hours. I don't read, ever.

It depends on what I'm doing at any one given time.

I normally have the Times in front of me when I'm stuck in traffic on the M25/North Circular, though

I am fleeing the country in about 6 hours, and leaving in 3, as I'm driving to Acton, then getting an employee to take us to Heathrow.

See you in September guys
