They give free hot ones away at the store in Selfridges. Then I end up spending £14 on more.

I think there's a code around somewhere for a free dozen. Seriously tempted to make a brief trip up the M5 today.

Doozerboy has lost over a stone in the last few weeks. If I did go, I'd have to scoff them in the car before I got home. I could probably manage that. After being roped to work, school runs and children this week, I do fancy a bit of freedom. And cake.

I thought he looked slimmer! I hope its not work related stress:eek:

I dropped into m and s to nuy a bra the other day, and left empty handed. My mst worn bra has a hole in it so its not really a purchase i can put off, but mostvthings were those preformed cup things whoch i hate, and very few were pretty. I like a pretty bra as its one of the few perks every woman can have but the big cup bras looked like some form of armour or even weaponry, which isn't what i want from my underwear..

My most worn two have the wire poking through (ouch). I keep meaning to do some sewing but somehow haven't yet, despite the incentive.

In the past few years, I've noticed that in M&S, ones which are apparently the same size are anything but, even if they style is similar. I also don't like the pre-formed ones, and don't know why they think that most people want padding (regardless of size).

Ooh - I would imagine super fresh and hot ones would be quite another thing!

Wow at losing over a stone! He must be working for some kind of slavedriver customer at the moment :p

    :rotfl: snap.

You know, the other day they moved the dogs sofas for me, back to a room i had emptied for them. They were really worried about dh and i moving furniture left, and kept reminding them that they could do in fifteen mins or half an hour what he and i could do in a couple of hours. This was after a VERY long days work.

I confused them the other day when i came home from the hospital unable to see much because of all the stuff they had put in and done too my eyes and they and my dad wanted me to look at progress and i just kept saying i couldn't see. I think they thought i had gone loopy (er).

They are a happy team. I hear them laughing a lot, which i like.

Yep, the inconsistant sizing is a real pain, and seems to be increasing everywhere. The sizes can be really, really out.

My needs replacing bra was m and s, and so beautiful, a very soft nude pinky peach so useful under many clothes, but enbroidered the same colour tulips. My stupid breasts are too big and heavy for plunge bras now (they weigh down towards the middle and start to fall out ) so i mainly wear balconette bras, on which the wires seem to me to poke through more often.

I think some people wear that padding for 'nipple camoflage'. Personally i could not careless what my nipples are doing, so long as they are symetrical. I do not like the stiff look of the padded bras on my boobs personally, they do move, the do have nipples, they are after all, breasts.

Didn't the supermarkets agree to pay the farmers more for milk about 10 years ago then got fined a fortune by the OFT a few years later for price fixing?

Yes, in general, is there milk you can buy that gives the farmers a decent price? If I'm buying fair trade bananas and chocolate to avoid exploiting farmers thousands of miles away, I'd like to buy milk that doesn't exploit farmers nearer to home either. Oh, and I want to know if that little tractor symbol actually means anything in terms of the cows having a reasonably quality of life, if anyone can tell me. Thanks.

DW always wears the same few comfortable ones, I alwaysw say that the budget to run to a few more so she does not run out if we haven't doen the laundry for a week but she never seems to be able to find one that is comfortable. She did fidn soem from Peacocks bt then they didn't last...

NP please widh me luck for DDs birthday party today. The week has been a little stressful with builder troubles and they did basically let us down as althogh units are in worktop and appliances are not an floor has gaps because they ran out of boards having wasted more than we are short by putting it down in wrong direction originally.

However necessity is the mother of invention, we will cover gaps with furniture, continue to use utility as kitchen and have put some odd bits of wood on top of units as worktop and covered with birthday table clothes.

Party has a kiddies cocktail and smoothie bar to be run by a good friend. my aunt is doing a 'story telling', 'tea' needs to be put together, the pass-parcel wrapped and then we are doing some art/craft party bag decorating and some 'x-factor' karaoke/dance routine (technology still needs testing) so hopefully 2 hours of 12 little girls will be memorable enogh to be reported back to peers at school on Monday.

Then we just need to get everything ready for the Spanish students arriving tomorrow. Builders have offered to finish on Monday but I am tempted to ask them to wait until Wednesday when I will be around and about for school sports day watching.

The weather doesn't seem to be being kind for the party :(
    I think....

    Are you a curry-lover or curry-hater?

A general question for NPs - are there fruit you cannot stand? Rhubarb's an abomination to me and apricots should only be in jaffa cakes . Most others I'm fine with. A Swedish colleague at work introduced me to cloudberries. Sublime!

I like rhubarb but we don't have it anymore....youngest is very very allergic to it, last time he had it, he ended up in intensive care. The school felt awful (it was rhubarb crumble on the menu that day) but how were they to know that he would out of the blue develop an allergy to it.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

The last para made me laugh out loud! Yes, I suppose the camoflage thing does come into it. But quite frankly some people do not need an extra however mm added to their dimensions!

re the first para - my very favourite one (which I pretty much can no longer wear) is a similar colour, it has very small flowers embroidered on it (can't remember what kind, but it would be funny if they were tulips!). It is in a terrible state, but I just can't bring myself to throw it out :(

Hope they all have a fab time, and that you and DW and the other grown ups have some fun too. I bet that the girls will enjoy themselves, and the things that they remember and have the most fun with will be the random unplanned bits :)

    Have a love
Yarty michaels dd and family. Honestly, no one will mind the kitchen, they will just want to have a good time and enjoy being with nice people.

For example, a fair few people are visiting me in a week, and they will be finding worse than an unfinished kitchen. I am not worried, people congregate to enjoy company, not examine kitchen finish. :). And i am not provided a pass the parcel as distraction either!

Just relax, enjoy yourselves and the birthday. How old is she?
