You're in a funny state at the moment, Pastures. Normally, you are all practicality and no messing about. Maybe all this moving has knocked the stuffing out of you?

Cannot stand peas, frozen or otherwise.
Sunny here again although there is a fair breeze which is annoying James in his sea front position. We got away quite lightly with the forecast rain yesterday but not counting my chickens yet, we could still get hit with it!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I don't cook frozen peas... I put some in a mug, then fill that with boiling water and stir for a few seconds... then I leave them 1-2 minutes. Then I strain that and top up the boiling water again, stir and wait 1-2 minutes. After that, sometimes I jsut strain/serve and sometimes I strain/microwave for 10 seconds. Keeps them looking/tasting like peas.0

Whichever way you look at it, it's effort and wet.... cba.
It's a 2 mile round walk to the nearest shop/pharmacy potential.... or 3 miles round trip to the town/back.
... wet.... cold .... not nice out there.....
I do have to go out at some point... weather maps hint that it'll be drier by 4pm.0 -

I am only going to have the slow cooker next week, so soup would be good, but i think slow cooking peas would lose their zingy freshness.
After all that, I went out, picked peas and I have 150g worth. it's really not worth it growing peas but i do it every year :rotfl:
we have funny rain at the moment, big heavy showers and they come and go. i need to go the shops but trying to leave it for as long as possible....0 -
Peas should be processed, hot, and better still mushy. :beer:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

The Times has a list of torch bearers for each day. I can't see CK's name. Then I thought maybe it isn't his real name, but then I know he links his FB pictures often and they are named Chris.
Just searched the torch bearers website and there is a Chris Cannon (his FB name) but he's older and running on 16th July.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
