It royally screwed me because the delay meant that the level crossing didn't come up between trains as the one behind was too close. Wasted 7 mins of my day! Prosecute her!0

But no ashtray shop I'll bet. First time I moved into a new town I searched high and low but couldn't find a shop that sells ashtrays.

What's bottled water? Doesn't it just come out of a tap?
Green tea is free too if you're into that kind of thing.0 -

I send flowers in an untrustworthy manner. Usually to girlfriends having nasty time from workplace b1tchiness or man trouble.0 -

I can just about tolerate busabi etai as the tables are big and it's four couples sitting each on an edge of a big square so you don't have someone you don't know right next to you. Sushi belts are ok too as you can turn your back.
See. I don't trust food that comes by conveyor belt.0 -

Last of the great unromantics here - I just don't get spending large sums on items that you throw away after a few days (or less if I can help it as it just brings hay fever in to the house)chewmylegoff wrote: »I do get flowers really. Once a year on our anniversary. I forgot one year though, so now I do it once every two years and claim that was intentional.
You wouldn't do that on a Thameslink train more than once (probably because it is difficult to do anyhting having been strung up by a lynch mob)chewmylegoff wrote: »Someone just pulled the emergency alarm on he train because they missed their stop!!!!
Tap water is fine for me at home (or be it chilled and filtered from the fridge) so it is fine in restuarants to.Bottle of still water at the aforementioned noodel eaterie, £3.80. Not for me, ta.

Couldn't multi-quote everything but PN I am really envious of your summer abode, I spent a summer there when I was about 22 teaching English to foreign stdents. Have you tried surfing the artificial break yet?. If you are having a warm humid evening like we are here then it is definietely worth a walk round town later on. Finally I remeber there was a big 24 hour Sainsburys or Tescos (probably both) somewhere on one of the main roadsTry to remember to close your mouth as you gawp at the choice...
I think....0
