Is your new place shaping up lir?

Well, some nice ;) builders start on monday? I hope its not that that is keeping doozer too busy to vosit much. so i have to get all our stuff out so they can have a clear run. Dh and I moved stuff into the room that is to be a temp kitchen for the summer, but forgot they are putting a door in thete first, so a weekend wasted:rotfl:.

In about three months we will have a long term temporary kitchen in a dinished shell, but no floor, an indoor downstairs loo, and a study...and....Drum roll.....the plan is to have heating in by then too.

We are also looking at getting a bathroom in the spare room. Its not what we would have done next by any means, but pne of my parents is moving in and cannot bear to use the existing one and so will pay for it. Its caused so e debate as essentially devalues the house and limits having guests...we will not have a spare bedroom, but its a compromise deom which we benefit more than we lose.

So, after that save up for a bit and them start phase two.....extention and the first two spare beds.:D

Would i have to pack again, or would someone do it for me? Is money a consideration? If omeone will pack and i am wealthy beyond imagination, i will have an island please..and thoughi never thought i would say thiis, somewhere like bermuda...warm, some chance of grass and comfortably off.

For me it's probably more of a toss up between Devon and Suffolk :p

Not a great deal Lydia, keeping busy.

DD graduated with her masters, coming top of her course. DS has turned 21. The rest goes on as usual. :)

Hope things are going along well for you Lydia?

Well done to dd! Very impressive.

It all sounds ambitious, time-consuming and stressful. No doubt the final outcome will be absolutely worth it though.

Sounds lovely, your own private shop and no need to pay as there would be nobody there to see you.

I suppose you would want your laptop, though, to keep in touch with the nice people?

As chewie like myself is a former biotechnologist, we must imagine genetically-enhanced apes doing all the work people might do.

But they'd have to be sleep-deprived, to cancel their intellectual enhancement and stop them wanting to hold intelligent conservations with the customers which would slow everything down.

I've found some dangerously amusing moments in this programmme on iplayer tonight For the win.
