If I'm cooking it does. If someone else is cooking and clearing up then my favourite recipe is a massive pile of sausage pasta sandwiched between two pizzas.0 -
I live in Surrey.
I have a brother who lives in Hertfordshire though if that makes any difference.
Afraid I am not usually on the pc late into the evening but usually am early in the morning.
Welcome to the thread, hjd. Its heartland is Hertfordsire but there's a strong Surrey contingent. Well at least three of us, and one or two more work or worked here.
As for curries not too many great places but the Red Rose in Surbiton's not bad.
PN there's no saag recipe in the first Takeaway Secret book.:(There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Whilst my postal address is Surrey, I discovered, after trying to join Surrey's online library as recommended by viva, that, in the opinion of Surrey I do not, in fact, live there!0 -
Firstly, Welcome hjdNow there's a question...
I'd like to think I'm quite capable. I'm more 'Ready, Steady, Cook' (open fridge/ cupboard, see what's there, give it a whirl type of thing) than Masterchef. But I did cater for a.n.other for almost 4 years and only had complaints on a couple of occasions :A
I was going to reply 'and how was the food received' but following Viva's comment I will instead say that if someone has taken the time and effort to cook for me I would never complain however disgusting it was (I might have to feign a stomach ache thou if it was too revolting)PasturesNew wrote: »I don't see why you'd think of michaels... unless you see him as a super-white, overweight, dysfunctional student ... with greasy hair
How easy it is to go off people, and I can't even just put you on ignore as you are step 'god' mother to DD2vivatifosi wrote: »Anyone else think of michaels every time they see the new BT advert?
My follow up on curry - I am more than happy with something mild, I think one's tastes are trained/learned. I never add salt to food and think that I detect lots of flavours that salt covers up bt most visitors salt everythign I cook whereas I find most ready meals and meals out too salty. I think the same is true for curries, if you are used to eating them hot then you have to have them hot to taste the flavours whereas I frind anyhting too hot and that is all I notice rather than the delicate flavours you get from a mild dish.
And finally - how many pages this evening when I am way behind schedule for today?I think....0 -

When I walk the dog in the morning we can be in Surrey proper in about 10 minutes , as we live very close to the Greater London boundary.
There's probably as many people living in the Surrey postal areas of the London boroughs as there are in the county proper.
Come to think of it, their county hall's in London.;)
A warning to all- tried to renew family's EHIC cards online tonight- followed google to this website which tried to charge me £15 each for the two adults. Got suspicous and went to the main site here and followed this link to the proper site with no charge! And you, such an NP and yet...
Noooo noooo noooo, I'm not calling you a pasty white bloke with greasy hair, honest. I was just imagining your house full of hot Spanish students! I've met you remember, that day when I was one with greasy hair and a pasty complexion! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
