In my day we'd have just shouted out something like "ooooh look at you all posh with your Waitrose bag".... but if you'd turned we'd have legged it and stopped 3 streets away, laughed ... and then wondered if the chip shop was still open :)

Did that when I got in at 1am, before haivng a lovely phonecall from the office ‘We’ve got 2 passengers at the Hilton wanting to go to London, asked for you, quoted £140!’ Brilliant! Romanians that I met in Bulgaria at some point in 2005-ish. I’ve just had 2 days off, and was going to go out anyway :)

Had a lovely go at Siad in the Hilton car park about 5am. He’s got a black car, turned his headlights off, but left his toplight and ‘for hire’ light on, before jumping ahead of me (1st car) and Simon (2nd car) in the queue, taking an £8 fare

Anyway, to cut a long story short, when he got back, I had the £8 from him, took a job to London (which got me £95, which should have been Simon’s if all had gone to plan) and disappeared into the W3 studio for a few hours. Meanwhile, Siad was threatening to go to the police about my ‘theft of £8 from him’, to be told by Ali (who’d pulled up by this time) that as well as he knows me, speaking to the police isn’t a good idea (I’m on the local Police Fed).

Job sorted, and except the greedy bloke, everyone’s happy. As Simon said, I’d have done that to anyone that stole work, and it wasn’t just put on him because he’s Indian (allegation of racism = sorted!)

I knew you’d see a posh alert there, PN

I’ve got a Waitrose bag and 4mth old receipt for about £30 in my car as it gets me free parking in half their stores :money:

Don't be tempted to try their microwave kebabs..... Lidl's are much better. Microwave kebabs aren't the best thing in the world, so you do need to at least head for the best ones .... Morrisons' are too damp and floppy when you take them out because they're in a plastic bag, whereas Lidl's are in a paper bag.

Right ... now you know how to eat like poor people splashing out at Morrisons :)

Only time I eat kebab is if I’m cabbing at 1am

    Doesn’t happen much now :(

Watching ‘Born in the USSR: 28 up’ on ITV Player, waiting for OH to get home (need to play musical cars). Brings back so many memories it’s unreal. Kinda reminds me of the book 'Danser sur les ruines — Une jeunesse tch!tchène (Dancing on ruins — A Chechen youth) (Milana Terloeva).

I’m a year older than these guys, it’s of quite special interest to us!

    Off to bed now!

Just spoken to OH about the camera on my iPad. I took this photo earlier (I’ve left the apps over it for personal reasons) and I’m amazed by how clear it is.

    Anyone found the same?

Everything goes wirelessly between iPad, iPhone, iMac and Macbook when they’re connected to the internet. (Pastures sees a posh device alert)

    It’s great really!
