well, i know I look different but really is that a reason to go and throw a rock at the back of my head? What is this country coming to?

I'm truly shocked, and I feel disgraced by my fellow countrymen. How are you feeling?

<bossy> Standard procedure is to go to A&E, I'm afraid, just in case there's internal bleeding. If in doubt, call an ambulance. </bossy>

I'm ok. It was a small rock, from the playground. If I feel anything aside from angry (ie woozy, I will go to hospital, but I also have had enough of the NHS today).

It was a bunch of teenage children in the playground. I was walking back from Waitrose with a bag of shopping quite far away. I felt something hit my back so I go towards them and make them apologise. As I walk away, they kept throwing more and more things until one hit the back of my head and they all whooped.

Walk home, call police but they missed them.

Could anyone else have seen? Were any of them wearing school uniform? Head teacher may have something to say if the latter is the case.

I am truly sorry and appalled missk.

    I'm appalled too, missk. That's... that's... I'm speechless.
    So very sorry. :(

ETA At the risk of being flippant, missk's assault made me feel like this.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    That's horrible. :( I hope you're feeling OK.
Do you mean it was a school playground? They're usually "protected" by CCTV although it's often us in the public need protecting from them. If it's a school the staff would want to get to the bottom of it.

No school uniform, public council adventure playground. Normal hangout for teenagers in the evening. Mostly they drink and make out but tonight it was special.

We have the biggest secondary school in the area near by. It's very strange.

Oh Misskool that's a horrible thing to happen to you, I hope you feel OK and not too shaken up or hurt. A bunch of bullies picking on a lone woman , how low can they get?

Exactly my thoughts. I've known bad kids, and I was no angel myself as a teenager, but there are few people with any self-respect who could behave like that.

Hope you are ok Missk...horrible thing to happen and makes me ashamed.

To all those who have replied regarding my little problem - I worry more about the impact on the boys, the likes of the police and the shouting would completely freak them out, so I like to keep things calm.

I'll be ok, I just tend to ignore him, if he thinks I am upset about it, it gives him power and that is the last thing that is wanted.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
