That was truly a joy to watch. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Jeez you lot don't half witter on!
Anyhows, flying visit, as I am in the middle of something.
Planted my peas & beetroot out a couple of days prior to the overwhelming downpour! Spent a day at work worrying nothing would be left when I got home.
Well, lord knows how, but everything survived!:j
I have my first pea pods on the plants!:j
I will plant more peas outside soon, & have sown some more.
I put the carrots & onions out to get more sunshine. Damn snails have had a go at my carrots, so they're back in the greenhouse!
To those who have seen little activity in their gardens, fear not! My toms are only 6" - first plants lost to the great winds of march/april, but I will not be disenheartened (is that a word?) It will be worth it, when it is on the plate or sandwich!:DIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
In other news, I went to see the olympic torch yesterday. I really wanted to go, & no-one would come with me.
Sadly, most of the day it was in wolverhampton would've been missed by me, as the torch came at the same time as our bowls match. However, as luck would have it, the torch passed our bowling green (well, 500 yards away) 20 mins before our match started. So I thought I'd go to bowls early (road closures etc) & see it.
Pulled onto the club car park at 1.30ish, & there is a bus with all the torch relay runners sat on it. Got to say hello to them. They allowed children to hold the torch & have some pics taken. I still went up & saw the handover.
It was great - very community based, which made me so happy. Everyone was there, young, old, all ages, ethnicities, everything. I was really happy to see so many people there - especially as so many miserable so and so's keep telling me they don't give a monkeys!
Well I'm excited, & I'm glad I saw the torch (& got to meet the runners!!!)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
