I remember seeing a Lincoln Navigator flipped onto it's roof by a small twister on Adamo Drive in Tampa one afternoon (I started using the LeeRoy Selmon Expressway afterwards  damn the expense)vivatifosi wrote: »I enjoy driving abroad, but I have had some shocking experiences with the weather. Probably my least favourite journey was on I4 in Florida, with a small tornado in my rear view mirror for a not insubstantial amount of time. I watch those storm chaser documentaries on TV (which wouldn't have bothered with my piffling little tornado) and just think "why do they do that"?
Visinting relatives in Philly, the sky went a very weird green, the rain became horizontal and then windows rattled with deafening hail and then it moved on.
My cousin said that was a tornado (he didn't seem bothered as the building was a victorian sandstone). Went for a walk afterwards; the trees all knocked down and all the emergency vehicles racing around.
Strangest thing was going past the fire station, looked in the window and saw a black-and white portable TV (remember them?) showing "The Bill"!There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Back from 4 days in wet Wales.
Dad had some treatment in big hospital that makes him radioactive for 7-14 days, depending what guidance you read. So he got his own room in hospital initially, then the powers that be decide to move him to general ward, claiming its all fine and he isn't that radioactive. Yet the guidance from the drug manufacturer and NICE say that you should generally stay 6 foot away and sleep in a separate room, but they put him in a bed in the middle of the ward. Guys on either side of him well within the 6 foot rule.
So we visit for a few minutes at a time and stand on the opposite side of the room and shout back and for and these poor guys are in adjacent beds.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
