According to Google, there are some truly awful hotels right by MRI. There's a Holiday Inn Express about a mile away. EDIT: that's showing as full.
As Chewie says ...
Addenbrookes in Cambridge is the same at short notice.
If anything happened to my parents/kids, I'd want them treated there rather than Harlow (our local).
Thankfully, we're only an hour away!💙💛 💔0 -

Where do I put her? I think she's in shock, I want her to rest, or try to. I don't really know where I am and I din't know if there is relative accommodation or devent cheap hotel?
I can't suggest anything useful ... but I heard you needing help... and didn't want to skip over it.0 -
Really, the police force cannot afford to be this paternalistic. In most other occupations, the people who had lost all their interest in the work would be "shed". Is a shame, of course, but that is how society is changing.
I am one of those days where i would like to say more but cannot.
I will just say i know of a time where they were not jaded, and some who had a genuine enjoyment in work and doung a good job.0 -

Yeah, i haven't read it but all reviews bar silvercars were grim, so i didn't bother.0 -

i think there are plenty of police who are still like that. i know a few relatively young police officers and they all seem motivated and keen to make a difference. but they all mention the droves of older officers trying to avoid work hiding in a cupboard at scotland yard somewhere.0 -

It's also the old officers who seem to be more violent and forceful.
I was stopped coming out of London n the day of the royal wedding for terrorist activity, as I have a Georgian flag with 'GEO' on the boot of my car.
2 younger offices came up, saw the camera equipment, 2 boxes of CD's in the boot and told me to go home!
This was after putting the bits in my car back together, as boxes had been ripped open etc.
What a lovely world we I've in 💙💛 💔0 -

I can turn on my webcam remotely using orb....not that I ever would check up on what DW is up to when I am at work. Which reminds me I need a new webcam that does not have a red light that comes on when it is active.I think....0

Um, i just relaised this make it look like i do not value silvercar's opinion, whoch is not the case at all, its just that other opinion was resoundingly that it would not suit me.0 -
