Gyms are for people who don't have any pies in their lives...

That's me this morning.
So apologies to the NP that I met for the first time today. I don't normally look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards, honest... First impressions and all that.
I hear you sister. My head extensions looked well ropey this morning.0 -

Not in my case. Just had lovely GU dark chocolate pudding with lashings of custard and supping coffee.
I go to the gym to eat more cake. I have no interest in looking like a stick insect

I met my first real life NP today and she was even more wonderful than I had imagined so I can't wait to meet the rest of you. (The only thing that is a bit disappointing really as it means that you are not all figments of my imagination) She looked great to me (definitely had hair) and no backward hedge type appearance so was obviously not the one who had had an adventurous night last night.
Weirdly it was hard to make conversation as although we know a fair bit about each other it was in front of colleagues and somehow it just seems strange having only spoken here.
I must also apologize for turning up at reception and asking if xyz was there as I knew her cos I am her internet stalker.I think....0 -

Ha, ha, ha... Neat edit there m. I definitely didn't look great, I'd already been asked "you alright today?" by a bloke so I know I must have looked dreadful and I was definitely having a multidirectional hair day! These things are important you know.Weirdly it was hard to make conversation as although we know a fair bit about each other it was in front of colleagues and somehow it just seems strange having only spoken here.
That's so true! I think that's a combination of the fact that I wasn't feeling great, I couldn't hear very well as it was so bloomin' noisy (yes we were in a library but there was an event happening) and I was very aware that my colleagues were earwigging... I try to keep my interest in house prices and the economy my guilty little secret you know. If you're in that area again for another appointment, you'll need to let me know in advance and I'll meet you for a coffee so we can have a better chat.I must also apologize for turning up at reception and asking if xyz was there as I knew her cos I am her internet stalker.
Ah, that explains a lot. I got asked so many questions after you'd left! Who's he, how do you know him, what are you doing meeting strangers on the net, what type of sites do you visit?... It was like having a lecture from someone's mum. It all changed though when I told them whose husband you were and they all agreed that you were a lovely family. See, your missus and kids are far more famous in libraryland than you are. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I am really sorry, I didn't have a plan of how I would ask for you as if I knew you when it could have been you or someone standing right next to you that I was asking iyswim? Next time I will get my cover story straight first...
Not famous in libraryland?! - do librarians not read the daily mail

Don't worry, it caused much excitement in the library. No need to apologise, it was just funny. Not famous in libraryland?! - do librarians not read the daily mail

Your challenge if you want to be famous among librarians is to get a slot in the Guardian, or CILIP Update, or um, Heat magazine. Your challenge should you choose to accept it is to make Quidco relevant to the purchase of library books. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? .... by using Quidco, you can use your savings to pay your exhorbitant library fees for having vaguely interesting books delivered to your small and inadequate local libraryvivatifosi wrote: »Your challenge should you choose to accept it is to make Quidco relevant to the purchase of library books.
