Ask for one of their home signal boxes to fix the poor indoor coverage. You should qualify with the contract that you are on.

In regards to having a good signal indoors,I have never had a problem with any other network until now.
One bar for me is not good enough as I stated in my original post that it cut out twice while on the phone to 3 customer services last night.
It's partly because at other networks 2g signal is available that has lower frequency and hence penetrates through the walls better. '3' is 3g only.

    Will do,thank's.
  • Just an update guy's and I am pleased to say it is good new's.
3 just contacted me in regards to the little to no signal I was having and again they had to ring me back on my old mobile(different network) to be able to speak to me without it breaking up and cutting off.
Anyway the good news is that they said the problem's I was experiencing made me eligible to get out of the contract and that I should return my handset to the shop to do so.
I don't want to count my chickens and all that but if I get out of this contract tomorrow then credit has to go to 3 for at least being honourable and not keeping me in this situation for the next 24 months.

    hi

My wife bought me a galaxy sIII phone for my birthday unlimited 3 b.b. and calls. Looks great.

One huge problem. No connection from home. Makes it useless to me

The phone was bought on the 14th June and my birthday 22nd June.Took it back to Tesco on the 23rd. They say it's over the 7 day cool off period so no refund.

It's £36 a month 24 months and I cannot use it in or around my home.

It' doesn't seem fair at all.My wife said had she have known this no point in buying it. (obviously) I must admit i thought all network covered all arears these days.

Any ideas on how to proceed?

    thank you.

I had the same problem with 3 a few years ago, got the contract over the phone, when it arrived it would not work indoors at all and when out side walking around my area half the time I could not use it as had no signal.
I called 3 they said it was a faulty handset and would send another, I would have to send mine back I did that when other arrived.
however they other handset was just the same. by now the 14 cooling off period was passed.
when I complained they said there is nothing they could do. however I send the handset back with a letter saying why and called them to cancel the contract saying it was not fit for purpose and they miss-sold the contract by saying it would work in my area. have not heard off them since

I think place of purchase are being terrible here. The only reason it was not brought back in the 7 day window was because it was a birthday present. Missed by 2 days. They can do it but choose not to.Maybe they will do it eventually.

As far as I am concerned my wife was mis-sold a 2 year contract by the salesman. He should have at let pointed out the enormous fact there is no coverage at our home address.

I have a meeting with the manager this afternoon.See what happens.

    thx

If you put your post code in the 3 signal checker what does it say?

Unless its a dead spot on there then how would the sales guy know? I imagine the manager will refund though.
