1Gb?! I think ATM even fiber optic BB is below 100Mbps.0

That is what the person who I spoke to from 3 said.
They would recommend using it on an unlimited broadband package.
I didn't realise you could use more than 1 router on 1 line though.
I don't know if the box would drain my internet speed though, as currently I only get 1.08mbps as it is0 -
The box sits there and does nothing until you use your phone - the light on the front flashes when it is 'working'.
They recommend 1MB connection as it is VOIP and that can sound like you are underwater if the line speed drops. If you can use Skype with no issues then this will work fine.
If you have a spare router (most routers have multiple ports on them) you just run a cable from a port on router A to a port on router B to link the two together. Then you connect whatever devices you want to router B and it sends it via Router A.
Same applies with a switch which is what a spare router becomes when it isn't connected to the internet.0 -

Oh right. I never knew that.
I haven't ever used Skype, or any other VOIP things, so I wouldn't know if it is reliable or not. I know my broadband isn't reliable and drops out regularly.0 -
I took out a 24 month contract yesterday on 3 with a new iPhone 4s.
Once it was activated at home I noticed that I had either no signal or one bar.
That reception is of no use to me and when I brought it back to the store they said that my area has good coverage.
Obviously in my case it doesn't,certainly not indoors and not with that handset.
I have spoke to customer services on the phone, which cut off twice during the call due to the loss of reception and they decided to call me back on my o2 handset.
They have left it that someone will contact me i regards to my problem within the next 48 hours.
I am not confident I am going to get this problem resolved after reading some testimonies on-line.
The fact that this contract was taken in-store and I don't then fall into the distance selling regulations make's it very unfair that my rights are then limited to what I can do in regard's to cancelling a contract that is almost useless to me.
Surely there should be more right's for consumer's if their mobile doesn't have sufficient coverage at home.0 -
Have you spoken to Three's technical support yet?0

- You cannot unreservedly expect a good signal indoors as this depends on far too many physical factors.
- 'One bar' is meaningless and is not bad for indoors. My phone is fine for making/receiving calls with one bar or even with zero bars sometimes. For the internet connect to you wifi.
- You could have checked the quality of the signal indoors before buying, e.g. by ordering a free PAYG sim or asking friends/neighbors.
- You had every opportunity to get familiar with their returns policy before buying.

In regards to having a good signal indoors,I have never had a problem with any other network until now.
One bar for me is not good enough as I stated in my original post that it cut out twice while on the phone to 3 customer services last night.
I did do a signal check with them in the shop and they stated my area was fine,I do live a mile and a half from the city centre, hardly rural.
I should have got more familiar with their return policy before I signed as I wouldn't have bothered as there is no return policy in-store for poor to no coverage.0
