Depending on what kind of a company it is, it could be totally justifiable to limit computer use and make unauthorised use of the net a sackable offence. If this was the case, a 'reasonable employer' would likely be expected to point this out to employees in their induction and/or remind them regularly!
Really, employers can impose quite a lot of restrictions on their employees as long as they make these quite clear so that they are contractual....:(Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
