like you debbycatz I am quite new to this but it's amazing how quickly you get into the routine and I look forward the lists. I aim to do everything on the list but don't beat myself up if I don't as working full time (and an occasional social life!) means it's not always possible.
However it gets easier because as Rach says, there's more of an inclination to clear up as I go along now as I want to keep it clean and tidy.
The other thing is that because it gets done regularly, if one or two jobs on the list get missed one week it's not the end of the world because they'll get done the next week, and haven't had time to become as disgusting as they were before I started flying.
The final point (as I've mentionned in several other posts) is that I am now doing additional jobs because more aware of some of the areas that need attention. I mean, I wouldn't have noticed grimy vents on the side of my microwave before, let along take a cotton bud to clean them!!
There's a pride in how my house looks now, and I hope that with the help of you all on here, that will continue.

Well I woke up at 4am to the beeper going off on the cooker - in my enthusiasm cleaning the cooker yesterday had inadvertently set the alarm to go off! DD was not happy and nor was I, but she went straight back to sleep and I lay there, getting up in the end at 5am.
Anyway, had a cuppa and spent some time on here, and now having done a rather long list, think I had better get on with it! So here's my list for today:

I am working from home today so hope I can fit in all of the above and get my work done - I am finding that on my working from home days I will put off work in order to do chores. Now that is something that isn't like me! Putting off work yes, but to do chores in preference? Now I am worried:D
Have a good day all.Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Hi thriftykatie - wondered what you were doing up so early! I've spent the last hour on MSE so I've seen your posts about!
I'm going to get a move on now and get some jobs done. DS has been up since 5am and DD has just got up so I'll sort her breakfast out (DS has already had is) and find myself something to eat.
Catch you all later

Thanks ThriftyKatie - It is encouraging to see other Mums who work outside the home achieving the fly lady stuff. Not that I'm saying it's not equally hard for Mums who work very hard in the home too, but at least if your around the home looking after the kids, you can get a few chores done inbetween Mum duties
I will look out for your posts and if I start to flag, they will hopefully encourage me :T0 -
Morning all :hello:
Pigpen - hope things are better for you today. :grouphug: (I've just noticed why thats called 3some  Look closely at the centre one :eek::rotfl::rotfl:)
Well apart from washing the dinner dishes last night and sorting out the fridge (30 second job!) I did no flying yesterday as I was too tired from my trip to town:rolleyes: Went to bed just before middnight (after my ebay sales finished) knowing that when I got up this morning there wasn't a pile of dirty dishes waiting for me (or a reason for me to get p*ssed at OH again for not washing up) and as a result I was up at 6.15 :rotfl: I never get out of bed before 6.45 :rotfl::rotfl:
My list for today looks like this (only playing catch up coz the kitchen NEEDS it again... why am I the only one capable of cleaning the floor/splashbacks etc?)

right, it looks like there will be no flying for me today.
I got the kids out the door, cleaned up the kitchen after breakfast, got myself showered and dressed, baby girl dressed.
We have to go into town to sort out my I.D so that I can travel to Scotland next month. What a hassle that is!!! (the paperwork I mean, NOT the travelling) I hate doing that sort of thing. Going in to get pictures taken..waiting at city hall.. blech.
oh well, has to be done!
it's worth it for a trip to go see my sis!
work for me this afternoon, and dancing lessons tonight..
Guess the house will have to wait.
