  • Well all best laid plans and all that - feel I've wasted most of the day. After getting up so early and doing a few chores I sat down on here and decided to finally get round to sorting out my new total broadband. To cut a very long story short it didn't work, tried to reinstall wireless router which then died on me and then spent 3 hours in total (yes!!) onto a BT helpline. Finally have access again but not wireless and have to wait for a new router.

Was getting a bit panicky at the thought of not being able to get onto MSE but sorted even though now I have cables all over the place - used to moving around with my wireless connection.

I have done none of my work and only a few chores and am now drop dead tired from being awake since 4am. Going to have get my act together this evening if I want to cover some of what's left on here:

Well I've been to the doctors...have to go back tomorrow and pick up my perscription as there wasn't a doctor there to sign it  Then walked to the bank and paid in my Greasypalm cheque then popped into the library and before I knew it it was 2.40 and I had to leave to get home to pick DD up :o I'm SHATTERED, but I've done another 14,000+ steps :j On my way home I made a super-fast trip into the craft shop and picked up 10 sheets of peel-offs so I can made grandad's-on-law birthday cards (one's Thursday, One is Saturday  ) as apparently none of our cards are "grandad" ones

Right, too tired to do anything else except dish up tea so I'm going to tidy my stuff away and then chill on a game website.

    !

Awwww....sounds like you've had a very frustrating day thriftykate :(
I really hate it when my PC goes down although I am quite technical, it still annoys me 'cos it's all such a faff and very time consuming.

Hope you have more luck when the new router arrives.

I got up at 6.50 as normal today even tho' I was having a late start at work due to getting a haircut at 9.00am. I spent the spare hour this morning getting the fly lady list done. Didn't hoover tho' as it was too early :)
I came home from work at 5.30, got dinner on which was minced beef with warmed up mash left over from Sunday and warmed up gravy left over from Sunday casserole - first time I've warmed up mash and it was loverly. All very quick and easy too. While dinner was cooking, I did a quick S&S of downstairs, then ate dinner, then washed up and about to jump in the bath now.
Hope you manage to sleep a bit better thriftykate

i think you did brilliantly - i'm a thrower when it comes to pc not working so it probably would have ended up across the room against a wall!!! although prob heavy and expensive so normally end up doing that with the mouse :D anyone recomend an anger management course (and how to spell recomend!!) :D
