Afternoon all, had a busy morning so first chance I have had to switch PC on. Decorating still not finished, can't see me getting carpet bought/down before the end of next week. Have spent the morning sorting out, have got washing on the line thankfully as electricity usage here has shot up with using the drier, curtains from bedroom that we're decorating on the line now. Keeps threatening to rain and clouding over but keeps blowing over thankfully!

Afternoon much of the same, decoratng is making me sort through a lot of clutter I have found, going to try and find a recipe for apple crumble as got some cooking apples which need using up. DP has gone out again, for all he said he wasn't going and was going to help out, fat chance! Need to find something for dinner, with me being so annoyed with him this morning forgot to get what was planned out of the freezer. Dogs are driving me crackers, puppy is in the 'everythings mine' mode, pinching laundry, bits from the bin etc, I need a bin she can't get into!

Hope those who are unwell feel better soon, and N9eav hope your DD is home soon.

Have a nice day everyone :)
One day I might be more organised...........

Spent the morning at the flower market and am really chuffed with my finds, a honeysuckle and a wisteria. :j It's being a brilliant day so far so I'm off to indulge in some more of it. :D

Hiya this is Delia`s recipe for crumble which might be useful- yummy!

Edit- forgot to add cooking temp - I use Gas 4 180deg F.

8 oz plain flour or wholewheat flour
    5 oz soft brown sugar
    3 oz marg/butter
    1 level teaspoon baking powder

Combine mixture and place over pureed fruit in pie dish spreading it evenly over dish. Bake for 30 - 40 minsuntil golden brown.

Can add chopped nuts for variation

    Gas 4 180deg F

    Aftenoon,

Having a very productive day so far. Have done:

2 loads of washing, put on airer
Stripped/aired the bed (and because I did alllll my iroing last weekend, the new sheets can just go straight on later)
Another load of washing is in the WM, waiting for space on the airers
    Made Parsnip Soup
    Made Blueberry Breakfast Bars
Made Oven-Baked Ratatouille (thus using the oven for 2 things) ready for our dinner

    Breakfast: Fry Up
    Lunch: Parsnip Soup/Sandwich
    Dinner: Ratatouille Filled Lasagne Rolls

Right, am just having a tea break, then off to
    - Change the bed
    - Clean the bathroom
    - Finish off dinner

AND - I figured I would make a triple quantity of cheese sauce, so that one quantity can go towards lasagne rolls for dinner, then if I can get lamb mince out of the freezer tonight I can make lasagne for tomorrow and make mac n cheese on Tuesday, using up the third quantity of sauce. Then on Wednesday, we can have kebabs using the other half of the lamb mince :D:D:D

Just came back to rave about those blueberry breakfast bars - they are absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I would change is sprinkling some nuts in with the topping as well, and maybe adding more mixed spice or something. Its a shame blueberries are so expensive most of the year (I got them reduced)

I know i seem money grabbing but he is entitled to this frrom his nan it was what she wanted and i dont want them dictating what should be done these are the people who left OHs name and the kids names off the eulogy at the crem

Seek legal advice. CAB should be fine or they can point you in the right direction. If it was me, I would find out the original amount and add rough interest onto it that you would have received if it was in your bank account. It is your OH's money. OH's nan has dictated what she wanted done with her money, so they should respect her wishes and do that. They sound like my OH's family.

Hi everyone, just had a quick read, will try to catch up on yesterdays later. Been a good weekend, went to see a Abba tribute band "Mamma Mia", and a disco last night, very good, however, why on earth do they have to put the volume so that the sound is distorted and makes your ears ring!

((hugs)) to those poorly or in need, hope dd is home soon n9eav.

Bit late posting, we were up at 5.45am and after bacon sarnies were off to the boot sale, we did not do too bad. £53.15 from selling our rubbish.....we have booked to do another one next week, but have singled out some stuff that we have taken to boot sales before which hasn't sold, so thats going to the charity shop tomorrow when I go to pay the money into the bank.

I have roast chicken and all the trimmings on right now, will watch Crufts and then a bath and early night I think, I am shattered.........

DD(21)came back from uni with two friends for her sister's birthday party.
Made individual brekkies for seven people this morning.

Made dinner for eight of us - three are veggies so made vegetable gravy and bought veggie burgers with cauli cheese, baton carrots, mushy peas, roast potatoes and Huge Yorkie in oven tray. Non veggies had spiced chicken to go with the meal.

First load is in dishwasher - then will reload it .

Washing mountain for tomorrow but it was a really good weekend and Dds friends are lovely girls.

    Hugs to everyone feeling poorly.
