Morning all!
I very rarely post in here but on mornings when I feel a bit at a loss, lacking in motivation or in need of organising my thoughts, it's always the place.
I've had a week off work to relax and chill (well, if you can't do it when you're pregnant, when can you?! Never again, is the answer to that!), with the result that I've done nothing, nada, diddly squat all week. I've got 2 loads of washing in need of drying now and nowhere to put them - drizzling rain now. I really need to wash the stairs (groan). Otherwise there's leftovers for tea tonight (haggis, neaps and tatties for OH, some spicy bean stew for me, some delish choc fudge pudding, thanks to thriftlady, which we will SHARE) so no cooking there. I might make up a big pot of soup for lunches this week, and we'll take the dogs out for a run later.
Otherwise I think I shall watch Dancing on Ice this afternoon and put my feet up ... such stress!
Have a lovely day everyone, and I hope those with worries will be at ease soon.0 -
Morning all.
Another lazy Sunday morning so ar.
Just off to brave Tesco clutching a fistful of coupons! Will update over on the vouchers board how I get on with the Health & Beauty coupons.
Hope everybody is planning really productive or, alternatively, nice and relaxing days!Spent the whole day in Hospital again with my daughter, They still would not let her out, so we have to go down again today. 3 day weekend gone and loads of money in fuel as the hospital is 20 miles away. Of course it's not just about money, and we are glad she is now better.
Hi N9eav. Glad your daughter is starting to feel better. Best wishes to you both. xx0 -

What a beautiful day!
OH, DD & I have been sitting out in the garden for the past half hour and is lovely. Washing on the line and DD has potted some new plants we got last week. I love seeing washing on the line
OH is feeling quite ill and coughing up brown gunk. Looks like another chest infection, so off to the GP's in the morning for him. Have told him to rest but he has been messing with the new lawn mower given to us yesterday and works well. I have called my sister and mum to say thanks for a lovely day yesterday.
Not doing much else today as feeling abit rough myself. I have zingle-berry ornaments that I have collected from the USA and may bring in a bowl of soapy water and give them a thorough clean each with a toothbrush as they havent been done in a while, although they get dusted weekly.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a great Sunday. have posted the new meal plan thread for this week, so if you want to post yours or be nosey and see what others are having...have a look:D
Hugs

EVERYONE.
A fairly lazy day here at chez smoky.:D
Sc is on with a spicy chicken concoction in, 1 wash done and on the line blowing nicely.
Upstairs is clean and tidy and we will be pottering around today. Oh is planting some of his bulbs today and putting the sweet peas in for the fence around the garden. It should smell lovely out there this summer.
The children are watching Alice in wonderland and the 2 eldest are entranced. Much as I was when I first read the book when I was a child!:T :T :T I bought the tales of Narnia for the eldest when he was born as I loved them when I got them myself as a child and maybe he can have them for xmas this coming year. He seems to love reading as much as I do.
I started a diet at the begining of the year which went out of the window when OH was ill and I really need to get back on track and so I will restart that on Monday. I have a wardrobe full of clothers that are too small and hardly anything to wear at the mo.
Anyway enough of my rambling on.to anyone in need today, and I hope you all have a good one.

Hi All
Only just grabbed a few mins to post on here, the washing line is full & blowing nicely, hubby has painted the fence & re-hung the hanging baskets, he's jet washing the decking at the moment.
We are off to see a friend of mine in a while, she has loads of stuff to get rid off, so we are going for a rummage to see what we can scrounge.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs to all.

Morning everyone
((((hugs)))) to those poorly OSers and Junior OSers.
Quiet day here today. Slept VERY late but I don't feel guilty at all as DS and DD are with XDH this weekend and I haven't had a lie-in for months.
It's clouding over here so I won't be able to hang out the washing that needs doing today. I hate it when the house seems overrun with wet clothes. Still, it needs to be done.
Got lots of cleaning done yesterday so today will be more of a paperwork clear out day. Maybe I can reclaim my magazine rack back from DS and DD who seem to think that that's where they should put every piece of paper they come across.
Have a great day. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

'afternoon everyone :hello: Big (((Hugs))) to everyone who needs one.
Not had much chance to post on here lately as we have been so busy. I'm rewarding myself for a busy weekend by coming on MSE OS for a while
Yesterday we did our Costco shop in the morning (for our long term supplies) and then in the afternoon did the butter making, baking and soup making.
This morning we have been sorting out our banking spreadsheets and looking at this months payments / bills etc.
It is lovely and sunny here at the moment. OH is busy watching an old film but when it finishes we may just go and take a look at our favourite wild nettle patch (for nettle soup purposes). It seems like ages since we were picking free food last year (blackberries, elderberries and rosehips). They were testing nettle soup on the Radio 2 (Chris Evans) this week so I think it's time we made some moreOH loves it.
Enjoying an MSE OS life0
