That title must go to Windows Vista...(of course until Windows 8 comes):D

This is also true, but even vista ain't as bad as iTunes (W8 - judgement reserved, but the pre-releases weren't exactly encouraging.......)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

Just going to say about the alternating pattern of good/bad windows releases.
    95 - good
    98 - bad
    2000 - good
    M.E. - bad
    XP - good
    Vista - bad
    7 - good
8 - well, we'll have to wait and see. (I'm not really liking it too much tbh)

    On topic:
Yeah I hate itunes with a passion also. I use spotify across all of my devices now, it's a lot more lightweight imo and works a hell load better.

No, its no better on a Mac. Really awful software.

I disagree. I find it greatly better on a Mac running OS X than it is under Windows. (As are almost all things for which I use my computers.)

    Same goes for Safari.

It's because both of them were designed for use with Mac OS rather than Windows but were then ported to Windows as an afterthought.

I have iTunes on my Windows netbook - it works fine although I keep it to around 8000 songs.

Which, of course, is why nobody buys them?

I find it OK. The Sony equivalent (Sonicstage?) now that was truely terrible.

Yup, that was horrible. I remember it crashed when importing certain songs into it's library as well, meaning I couldn't have all the music I wanted on my walkman.

Emodio from Samsung was the absolute worst music software I ever used...thankfully I didn't use it for long.

I've never felt the need for software to manage music on any recent DAP I've owned. I just drag and drop files into directories and navigate using tags.
