yes you should have got dtd if the packs were stickered bogof, maybe you could send an email to tesco customer service telling them what has happened, you may get a gift card for your trouble
Phoned customer services and explained the sitution - the very nice man said straight away that I should have got DTD. Money card on it's way and a stern word issued to the Customer services desk! :T:beer:

Some of the BBQ meats were on the end of the aisle at Lid Knee and had a 2 for £6 SEL. All the other BBQ meats had clearly had stickers removed (I did have a good rummage!) so they've obviously been tipped off!
Shame as planning a BBQ, so even BOGOF would have been welcomed :(

I've had a strange result with this.
Tried in Tesco metro in N*wbu*y, 2 packs of sweet chilli chicken. Manned till, no BOGOF, customer services £7 back

Went to main Tesco on the A4, not an Extra just bog standard Tesco. Lots of packs but only some stickered up with the red BOGOF label. Selected 6 packs of different varieties. Other bits and pieces too.

Manned till, but 2 discounts seem to have worked.

    Receipt says

**Mulitsaver** £-10.50 (presume this is the BOGOF)
    Meat 2FR £6/3FR£8 £-5.00

I have spent ages trying to work out how to put a picture of the receipt up but can't work it out!

    So paid 6x 3.50 = £21
    -10.50
    -5.00
    £5.50 for 6 packs of BBQ meat:j:j

Not as good as the DTD but still pretty good
    :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

I went to the Extra at the retail park and bought tikka thing and ribs and BOGOF worked :( I'll have to pop along to the L0nd0n Road :)

    Thank you xxx

thats great, so glad that c/s at head office backed you up, it can be so frustrating when the staff on the c/s desks in store dont follow their policy correctly

Just been and got a few more bits from another store and worked perfectly. I'd got 8 packs so £28
Guy on CS desk was really friendly, and said "OK, no problem, sorry about that, so we'll give you £14 back"
So of course I said, No - you'll give me double that back.." and he smirked and laughed a bit and nodded!
Told me that it's now the policy that they only give double the difference if the customer asks for it. Lots of the blue signs about it have been taken down!
Said they were more than happy to do it when it's asked for, but otherwise they just refund the difference!

Wouldn't surprise me if sooner rather than later the policy stopped altogether :(

Yeah i'm sure they'll fix their pricing so that they no longer have to worry about offering customers a bribe to stop them going to trading standards...:rotfl::rotfl:

Hmmm, that one is a lot less likely!!

But it's not really a very good bribe if they aren't proactively offering it to people.
