    CAUTION -

Just so people are aware, Tesco DO NOT have to honour the DTD policy. It is a gesture that they do and it is entirely at the Store Manager's discretion. If they believe you are targeting the DTD (i.e. buying £200 worth) then they may refuse it.

You were lucky to get CS on phone to refund on third attempt. I went all the way to Philip C and was refused once so just be warned.

    Good luck.

I don't agree, it is a national policy not at all given at manager's discretion, as many will say when they have contacted HO they have received an apology and their DTD - me included.

They are also on dodgy ground as a company if they do not honour the dtd they advertise as part of their customer charter.

Next time report them to Trading Standards for incorrect pricing and to ASA - advertising standards agency- for advertising a policy they don't follow.

2 x packs of minted lamb kebabs
2 x packs of beef chilli kebabs
2 x pack of chicken skewers

Went to my local T's last night. Only the barbecue chicken drumsticks had the buy 1 get 1 free sticker on them. Got 4, went thru self serve charged £14.00. Went to customer services and got refunded £14 (after a bit of hassle about DTD), free chicken cannot be bad....
was going to get some more but there was only one lady on cs desk and didnt want any hassle.
Might have a look next time I'm in and get some more if still stickered.
