    Hi
If I were to take a contract out now, on 3 would I be affected the contract changes. I am currently looking at a Blackberry for 20 p/m 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and 250mb of internet.
    Thanks
  • I too have emailed them a few times only to get identical responses which don't target any of the points raised in my emails (I'd gone into great depth about the definition of detriment and the relevant clauses)..

I stated in my latest email that any response other than detailing how my interpretation of the terms is wrong and adequately explaining why I can't cancel under clause 10.1(d) will be considered as confirmation of the cancellation of my contract and shall be used as evidence in any legal proceedings that may arise in the future.

Hopefully that'll get me a more personal response at least!

I don't mean to come across rude, but after seeing any of the posts in this thread, how could you think joining three would be a good move?

but to answer your question, if you were to take a contract with three now, you would not be affected by the changes being talked about in this thread.
you would however be affected by the next time they decide to pull a stunt like this.

TheJakeOfOld, I'm looking forward to reading about what response you get.

I'm leaving them, 3 KNOW they have cocked up but are simply being stubborn. I'm just fuming they won't give me a PAC code so I can keep my phone number I've had for 10 years.
  • I have been chasing this with Three customer services since I received notification.. One agent agreed that I could reduce my plan but the the manager on call back did a u turn! I'm fed up of getting nowhere with the poor call centre reading from a script and went to a Three store to discuss as in their code of conduct they state customers have a choice of how to contact Three phone, email or store but the store referred me to 333 ... So much for ode of practise !

I've taken to emailing Mr Dyson now and may try calling the UK office I found this number maidenhead 01628 765000 maybe if we all phone the office and put pressure on the switchboard it will start to annoy them.

I have complained to Offcom to and Registered complaint (for what it's worth) Three pushed for terminate the rate and their costs are falling as is RPI on last Year. Why have PAYG or business not changed and new customers still no increase ... Is it false advertising and will they be highlighted 4.1 on signing up? As I'm sure they will see increase in a year!

Just to annoy everyone the average increase to directors salary over the last 7 years is 49.59% and they say that their costs are rising !!
Highest paid director is on £1,600,000,00 including accrued pension*

Do you have Mr Dyson's e-mail address?
  • Don't know if correct but i found this david.dyson@three.co.uk and copied and pasted into 3 contact form... And last night 333 said they wouldn't discuss further as email was received and gone to executives department ...

What grounds are they giving for this? When you cancel your contract you are entitled to a PAC, so it could be they aren't actioning your instructions to cancel for some reason??

    The reason is very simple.
They want a customer to pay first. Teethless Ofcom says that they are not allowed to do this, but is incapable of enforcing their regulations.

Yes they want me to pay the cancellation fee (14 months) despite holding their hands up at 10.1(d) and the interpretation of detrimental.
They won't shift. I will. I've lost my number, I hope 3 lose millions.
