Three have raised prices; cause to cancel contract?

Having read through this whole thread, I have realised that a lot of people have commented on Three using their knowledge of previous instances of price increase from Orange UK and T-Mobile UK. This is not suitable, as each contractual agreement has different terms and conditions and simple teminology can affect outcomes of cases.
I'm currently with Three UK, paying £20 per month and this is due to go up by £0.71.
Having read through Sections 4 and 10 of the T&Cs, i have ascertained that I can NOT leave my contract due to this increase. This is due to the following:
£0.71 per month, won't be accepted as materially detrimental to anyone - using common sense.
Everyone is referring to Section 4, but that has nothing to do with being able to cancel:
To sum up, once the phrase 'material detriment' comes into play, we have no standing (regarding ~£1pm). If the iPhone T&Cs do NOT state 'material', they should be able to cancel without penalty IMO.
I'm inclined to agree with you. I'm on an iPhone contract and didn't realise the other wording has a small but significant difference: "material".0 -
I'm reading people going back and forth about whether they cancel or not and it's rather annoying because as my user name indicates I would love to cancel too.
Has anyone contacted three and tried to cancel? If you have did you ring them or email them and have you heard any thing? Has anyone been successful yet?0 -

I rang them yesterday and had about 40 minutes of back and forth before the guy hung up on me. They are very intransigent, which is understandable as they're probably working from a script. I read on the Which? site (I think) that someone had got out of the contract penalty free as they were in a debt management scheme or something like that.0 -

I've currently emailed them about their new data restriction and tried to get out of the contract like that but it would be handy to turn around and say you've also broken the contract like this too...0 -

What's the data restriction? I'm not aware of that.0 -

Brilliant. Poor signal, price hike and traffic management. I am so  at three now...
I have an iphone, paid 200 quid for it in mid october with a £35/mo 24mo contract. Any chance of getting the heck out of it? Getting sick of three, i'll go tmobile next time! Do you think I could get to keep the mobile if I do get out of it?
Thanks0 -
My 35pm contract has increased by 1.25pm which is 3.6%. Currently the RPI is 3.5% so surely this is an increase of more than inflation??0

Do you have to return the phone?

That seems to me if three let you out, you keep the phone
Not return it as the Exec who talked to me insisted0 -
