I used to be terrified of the bathwater going down the plug hole when I was little. I think I thought that I would go down as well. I hated the sucking feeling you got if you put your foot over the plug hole.
I'm better now though!0 -
good to know there's a chance he'll grow out of it then. for some reason sink doesn't bother him, just the bath. ???0

Reminds me of a relative when she was a little girl- terrified of hoovers! My mum got all these bits of tissue down on the floor, switched on the hoover and showed her there was nothing to worry about - she watched in amazement as the tissue vanished out of sight - then screamed her head off!!0

Wish I'd seen this thread sooner - a few months back my mother-in-law-to-be bought me a book called "50 Easy Party Cakes" I would have happily scanned and then emailed instructions for any of the cakes to you!!!
Some are really simple like erm.... a goody bag (basically a square cake covered with sugarpaste and then sweets to decorate), party bags (smaller, individual versions of the goody bag) to one that looks very complicated called "Noah's Ark" or a pony stable. I love the idea but not sure whether I want to attempt one for daughters next birthday just yet :-/
I'm going to try an igloo Christmas cake this year (I got the recipe from a Somerfield magazine ages ago) as we're at home this year and other half isn't a keen Christmas Cake eater and I'm hoping to watch the calories as best I can(I've got to make the effort, I've just paid out £3.99 for the BBC Big Challenge pack to try and encourage me to cut back on portion sizes and achieve 10,000 steps a day in the hopes of loosing some weight so I can wear all the clothes I've got that are slightly too small!)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
............igloo cakes are good, you can cover them in white marhmallows - the large ones - or just frost up the icing. One year, we got rectangular marshmallows from France which were great for the 'brickwork'. Trouble was, there were others colours in the bag and we only wanted to use the white, so my children forced me to eat up the coloured ones so we didn't feel guilty opening the other bag ;D0
