open a cmd prompt (you may need to run as admin), and type
"ipconfig/flushDNS" without the quotes and hit enter, then type
"netsh winsock reset catalog/ " without the quotes, but note the space after the slash,and hit enter. The second one will require a reboot to complete. Then try connecting again.....
Alternatively run a diagnose/repair on the Network Connection Status.604!0 -

unfortunately, on Vista, that's not usually enough to sort it by itself, hence using the specific command-line instructions...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

@GJ
Looking at the IP config in #9 both NICs have the correct 255 subnet. The usual limited access subnet is a 169. So I think it's just a DNS problem on the wireless (which I believe you've concluded the same with the flushDNS suggestion). The Atheros' Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Home may be the culprit.604!0 -

Is that correct?

That's what running as admin does!
Click Start. Type cmd in the search box. Right click on the cmd icon that appears, and click on "Run as administrator", then enter the commands GunJack gave you.How do I add a signature?0 -
