    Hi Hypno,

Haven't been around for a while - had a few days away as the start of last week in your part of the world - we were staying in Southwold but came across to Norwich one day, was with OH's parents so very MSE as they paid for everything!

Then it was my birthday, then went to London to see my family (my parents paid for that) so a cheap week but busy!

Congratulations with those job offers - that's great. I think the full time one sounds great too - you do an amazing job with all the uncertainty you have money wise at the moment - just think how amazing it will be if you have a stable income and as you say you can always see clients a bit in the evenings/weekends if you have some special ones you'd like to keep.

Hope you've had a good day at work (how much notice do you need to give for this job?).

Home (finally) - took the kids to karate straight after work so not even a much needed coffee until just now! Dinner is on the go - pasta carbonara thingy so won't take long, then I can collapse in time to watch Dragon's Den and go to bed early (ish).

I told the Faculty Manager at Uni that I will be leaving - had a lovely chat with her about it all, so that is good. didn't tell the others though, I felt a bit strange because, after all, I have only been there a couple of months! I will probably do a couple more weeks there before I start at the prison.

E-mailed the prison and said I was very interested in the full time job. going to have a chat on Thursday and hopefully sort out the finer details then.

Grandpa's funeral is on Friday, so at least not too long to wait. I am not looking forward to it, but then who DOES look forward to funerals (apart from those being paid to be involved!).

Better get off and finish cooking dinner. Hope you are all having a good Bonfire night, and that your pets, if you have them, are not too frightened.

    xx

Hi benben! Yes, I added £320 to the ski fund total after yesterday's sale, with £50 to come later for the kids thing, so we are getting there......slowly but surely!

Glad the ski-sale went well. Hope you bumped up prices for the parents of the little sod who broke the boot warmers !
Not a good day today-a friend's 21 year old son was knocked off his bike last night and didn't survive the night. In his last year at Cambridge-so sad. Give your kids an extra hug tonight folks.
On the plus side finally decided to rethink my financial planning-extreme but I think the right thing to do and I start training with TeleTech in a couple of weeks so lots going on.
Sorry miserable cow tonight-I'll get me coat.

  • duchy - I am really sorry to read that, that's awful. :(

I come from Cambridge originally so I really do feel bad, but I don't know why it should be worse, it would be terrible wherever it happened.

    Puts things into total perspective.

Duchy, that's terrible. I've just been moaning to OH about the mess of the lounge due to DS train set - really puts it into perspective. Can't begin to imagine the horror of being in your friend's position.

Was just posting to say well done Hypno on the ski sale - brilliant result, and good news that you're decided on the job. Off now to give my little sweetheart a hug and have an early night. Night all x
